~~~After School~~~
As soon as the bell rang, I ran out of class. Clubs would be starting soon, so I went to the third floor and started to go class to class, but I couldn't find him. So, I went to the gyms to see if he was in basketball or volleyball, but it was no good either.
As I was about to give up and head home, I heard people talking about the tennis club. I started to run around the campus to find the tennis club. I passed by the softball and baseball club, even the girls' tennis club, until I finally found the boys' tennis club.
By the time I got there, I was out of breath and had to get rest for a bit. I had fallen asleep, but got woken up when I heard voices coming from the courts, especially Arai-senpai yelling.
I saw Arai-senpai with a short green tinted black haired and brown eyed boy on the court. The boy had an old, broken racket and they were going to play.
The boy kept using the racket to play and didn't have any control, but as I kept watching, it seemed like he found a way to use the racket.
So I got up and went to the fence.
Third Person Perspective
"Wow, what's this!? You're about to lose you know, Arai-senpai." said a short boy from outside the courts causing everyone to suddenly pause and look his way. As they turned, they saw a light brown haired boy with purple eyes and arms on the back of his head making him look cocky.
"Yo, shut up Mahiru!" yelled Arai as he was the one getting ready to serve.
"Hmm, yeah, yeah, sure. Well, see you later, when you lose." Mahiru called out as he turned around and started to leave.
"Tsk, I'll show you." Arai said under his breath, getting in position to throw the ball up and serve.
As he served, the boy was able to hit the ball back perfectly by putting a spin on the ball by rotating his body. He continued to get points with the old racket and Arai lost.
Mahiru's Perspective
I stayed to watch for a bit in the shadows, and I was right. The boy did figure something out. I feel bad for senpai, but the boy was better in terms of experience and control.
I left after I saw the boy's solution because it was getting late and I already knew who was going to win.
When I got home, everyone was already there and we had dinner together. We talked about our day and I left to go to my room. The homework for school was a breeze and Reiji came to my room to give me a snack halfway through.
After I finished my homework, I played video games with Hiro. I beat him twice before I had to get to bed.
~~~The Next Morning~~~

I got up feeling refreshed and for the first time ever, got to school early. I looked around the classroom and noticed things I didn't before. That was when I saw him. The kid that Arai was playing against.

Hmm. I don't know his name though. Maa, who cares. I'll find out soon enough.

The bell rang and class started. I turned to look at him and he was sleeping. I refocused my attention to the teacher, but the teacher did not say anything.

Eventually, I was called on because my attention was wavering and had to work on problems in front of the class, which I did perfectly. The teacher paid no heed to me afterwards. I was glad. I already knew everything and I did not want to learn it again.

Soon the day was over and I decided to go the the teacher's room.

Upon entering the room, I saw the person I was looking for. Coach Ryuzaki. The tennis coach.

I walked up to her and said, "Coach Ryuzaki? Can I talk with you for a minute? I want to join the tennis club."

Coach Ryuzaki's Perspective

A boy? Wanting to join at this time? Hmm, interesting. Let's see how he'll do.

So I answered, "You want to join, boya? Sure. I'll let you join. Just complete this club registration form and get to the courts."

"Hai." He replied and continued to write his name, reason for joining and bow, "Thank you very much. Please excuse me."

I looked at the paper and I was surprised. I never would have thought that he had a kid brother. Then, I looked at his reason for joining and laughed.

Mahiru's Perspective

I was in the club room changing by myself and hoping that no one would come in. I can't afford anyone to figure out my secret yet.

People were talking and it was getting louder with each moment. I felt a slight breeze all the from the back row. Someone had entered the room.

I had put on my shorts just in time to see someone's face pop out of nowhere. It was one of the senpais, but someone I didn't recognize.

"Hey, you're late. Club started a few minutes ago. Hurry up and get out."

"Hai, senpai."

I quickly grabbed one of the rackets in the back and ran out.

When I got to the courts, I saw Arai-senpai and his group. There was also the boy from my class that beat him.

I called out to him. "ARAI-SENPAI!!!!"

He turned around and had a surprised look on his face. I could tell from the look on his face that he hadn't been expecting me to join. Other club members had started to look at us as well.

"What are you doing here?"

He was fuming. He didn't want me here. Not one bit at all.

"Hehehe, I thought I would join the same club as you." I said giving him a big smile.

Just then, I spotted Ryuzaki-sensei. I left Arai-senpai hanging and went up to her.

"Everyone, gather up. I want to introduce you to a new member. This is Ichinose Mahiru." Ryuzuaki-sensei introduced.

"Hello! Nice you meet everyone. Please take care of me."

I bowed politely and smiled cheerfully at everyone.

'Ahh, it's another version of Kikumaru Eiji.'  everyone thought .

A/N: Hello everyone! Hopefully this chapter was better than the one before it. I'm sorry there's not a lot of action yet, but I'll try to make the next chapter more interesting.
