Rae's POV
"i-i" I stutter uncontrollably. suddenly I feel a kicking in my stomach. what the hell?
this isn't possible
something warm creeps up my throat. I cough and fall weakly to my knees. I notice what had come out of my throat.
blood.
"L-Luke?!" I call frightened. black dots start to cloud my vision. "S-Someone help..." I say before I faint.
Lilacs POV
"M-mom?!" I ask, kneeling beside an unconscious Raelynn. Luke steps in the room, the bright smile on his face being wiped off immediately by the image of his mate unconscious on the floor. "wh-what..." he starts, tears in his eyes.
"EVERYBODY OUT" The girl who looks like Vi and I says. "Lilac, baby I need help" she demands. everyone seems frozen in place. "NOW" the girl screams and the room is quickly emptied, the only sounds are Rae's labored breathing and my frantic heartbeat. "lilac baby, I need you to listen carefully, how many heartbeats do you hear?" I close my eyes and concentrate. I hear two thumping hearts of half breads, and two pitter patter heart beats, much like that of a rabbit. "four?" I ask. "Oh snicker doodles, shes pregnant." she says worriedly, placing her hands over Rae's tummy. "I need you to bite your wrist and make it bleed." she says, lifting Rae's head and opening her mouth. I do as told, and she brings my wound to Rae's lips, making her drink my blood. Rae's eyes suddenly open and she looks around worriedly. "Riley. I haven't seen you since..." " I know.. and he's back. he's coming for the girls this time. " "I told you he was trouble..." Rae smirks tiredly. "and I told you to never have sex with a werewolf." Riley giggles. "so, what's gonna happen now?" Rae asks, sitting up. "in about nine days, you'll have twins. your such a copycat." Riley giggles more. "how's that gonna work, your a vamp, your body can't change to accommodate one baby, let alone two..." I interject. They both turn to me. "she's right... you'll die." "I am NOT killing my babies." "you have no choice..." I try to reason. she shakes her head angrily. "I have lived for two thousand years, I have never wanted something as much as I want them." she says and blinks repeatedly, as if to keep away tears. "Rae please just think about this-" I try, but Rae interupts with "NO. I HAVE KILLED ALOT OF PEOPLE IN MY LIFETIME. BUT I HAVE NEVER KILLED AN INNOCENT. AND I AM NOT GOING TO START NOW." I nod slowly in understanding. "wait, nine days? I thought it was months?" I ask. "the babies are half vampire half werewolf, they grow. faster in utero, but once they come out, they will grow as a normal human would physically, mentally, they will exel at twice the speed of normal children." Riley explains slowly, so I am able to comprehend. "so we have nine days to prepare for two babies. do we even know the genders?" I ask. "well I know I'm having a boy, and Luke insists that there's a girl in there, so I'm guessing one of each?" Rae says, rubbing her tiny bump. "OK so, let's go shopping" Riley says excitedly. *crap, I hate shopping * "OK, you are definitely not my kid" Riley says and giggles. *you can hear me?* I ask *baby girl, I'm your mom, I can hear you loud and clear. * *but I thought Rae was my mom?**adoptive mom, I gave you to her after I has some problems with your father**I have a father?**everyone has a father, honey do you have any idea how sex works?*
