I was roaming the halls of my mansion bored.

I had no one to play with since I was the only child. I couldn't invite any of my friends from school over because they might find out that my family and I are werewolves. I would invite the pups from the pack to come over but they're all at training. All of the boys in the pack had to go through warrior training to protect the pack for when they got older.

And I sometimes think that I am the lucky one. But then I remember I'm the only girl in the pack. Then I remember that one of my maids had a son around my age. Which is six and a half.

My father , the alpha, told me that the boy didn't have to go to training because he was the son of an omega. I had no idea what that meant.

But I knew I had a new play pal.

I would see the maid's son several times a week, trailing after his mother like a duckling would. He would never speak though.

I decided that, that day would be the day he would actually talk to me.

"Hey mom! Can I play with Susan's son today?" I asked walking into her bedroom as she read her book. "Um sure dear, but first you have to ask Sue." she said not even looking up at me.

I smiled and ran off to go find Sue.

                         ~~~
"Hey Sue. Sue!" I yelled as she walked into the kitchen with the familiar, small figure walking behind her. "Yes, dear?" she said picking the boy up and putting him onto the counter. He had a cut on his knee. I cringed at the sight of the red, swollen area.
"How did he do that?" I asked forgetting about playing. I reached to touch it but got interrupted by the boy mumbling, "Don't touch it."
I crossed my arms and growled. My wolf, LeLe, was irritated at his rudeness.
"What were you saying, sweetie?" Sue asked me washing the cut off of the boys knee. "Oh I wanted to ask if your son could play with me today." I said smiling. The young boy had an expression of amazement. Like he's never been asked to play with before.
"Layla do you really want to play with him. He just disrespected you in front of one of your maids." My wolf LeLe says to me.
"Yes, it doesn't matter. We're going to get him straight. But for now I just need a playing buddy." I say back to LeLe.
"Oh honey, maybe she will be your friend. You haven't made friends in a while." Susan said trying to convince him to play with me. He groaned. After a glare from me and a stern look from his mother he nodded okay and hopped off the counter.
I grinned widely then grabbed him by the wrist and dragged him towards the backyard, where we sat in the grass.
"So what's your name?" I asked smiling at him. He was pulling strands of grass out of the ground.
"Ty." he said quietly. I realized he was avoiding eye contact.
"Ty what?" I asked trying to get him to look at me.
"Gilinsky."
He was now looking into my eyes. I giggled a little.
Ty Gilinsky
"What are you laughing at?" he said panicking.
"Oh no reason. So what do you wanna play?" I asked smiling to myself. He just shrugged. I started to avoid eye contact. "Why aren't you looking at me?" he asked in a high pitched voice. "Well, you wouldn't look at me so I'm not gonna look at you." I said turning my back towards him.
"I'm looking at you now." he said softly. I could barely hear him. I turned around to meet his gaze. He had blonde hair with brown eyes. He was cute. He wasn't chubby like most human boys. Probably because he was a werewolf boy. I remember seeing my dad training him in our backyard instead of at a training camp. He also trained me. But not at the same time.
"Hey have you ever shifted?" he asked me, snapping me out of my stare. I could tell he was a bit unsure about asking that.
"Yeah plenty of times. Have you?" I asked raising an eyebrow.
"Um no, not yet"
"Oh, I know how to help!!"
Before he could reply I shifted into my wolf. My white fur swaying with the wind. His eyes got wide.
"Aren't you supposed to have brown fur, since you have brown hair. And aren't your eyes supposed to brown instead of blue. " he said examining me.
"Yup, but I'm special."
I was positioning myself to pounce. I jumped on top of him and started licking his face. I started to playing with him like a puppy would with it's owner. Then I saw him change. I smirked at my accomplishment. "Oh my gosh! I shifted!" he yelled jumping up and down, looking at his blonde fur. We played until Susan came out, congratulating her son and bringing us a new pair of clothes.
Several years passed and Ty became my best friend.
