A few days later

(Layla P.O.V)

For the last couple of days I've been  cooped up in my room. The only times I would come out was when there was food and Regina would call for a meeting. I would barely pay attention to them though. It was mostly about how hunters are searching for us and the head hunter had a teenage son who was very skilled at his age. But why was I supposed to care?

I've been hung up on Tanner. Was he actually being nice? I honestly think it was just a dream. But it couldn't have if I have his mother's paint brush on my dresser.

He was such a confusing man. He's been giving me weird looks every since we talked. Sometimes at dinner I would catch him staring at me and he would quickly turn around. But I can't help to feel the weird attraction I have towards him. It's like I just want to be in his arms 24/7 but I know that's just absurd.

Since it was finally Friday, I thought I should at least get up. I sat up from my position on my bed and sat my laptop to the side. I quickly got into the restroom and turned on the water. I stripped from my pajamas and threw them into the hamper. I hopped into the the shower and scrubbed until I was clean and shaved my legs.

Once I got out I put on my undergarments. I ran a comb through my damp hair. I was just going to let it air dry. I finally put on the black crop top and some camo cargo shorts. I put on my red converse and tied them up. I went over to my vanity and applied mascasra.

Finally satisfied with my appearance I made my way down the stairs. It was quiet and empty, like it has been all week at ten in the morning. The only thing I could hear was Regina's soap operas in the living room. I made my way to the kitchen and grabbed an apple off the counter. Regina has started putting them there each morning, seeing that, that's the only thing I eat in the mornings.

"Good morning sunshine. How was your sleep?" Regina asked as I made my way in the living room. Taking a seat next to her as I took an extremely large bite out of my apple before answering.

"Morning Regina. It was great actually. The most sleep I've gotten all week. How about yours?" I said genuinely interested. I really liked Regina. I can tell she's stressed from

doing things for the guys so I try to do anything to cheer her up. And she's a great listener.

"My was pretty good too. I've actually been getting much more sleep since you came. I think the guys are giving me a little slack now!" she said letting out a giggle. I raised an eyebrow.

"Oh really?" I said in pure amazemt. What did I have to do with that? "Yes, anyways your father has told me that you love to dance?" she said completely changing the subject. She would do that whenever me and the boys are in the same topic.

I nodded my head skeptically. I sure hope my dad didn't embarrass me. Whenever I'm a topic I'm bound to get embarrassed by him. Whether we're talking about how I was an over dramatic preteen. Or when I would walk around the house with Ty, only wearing my mom's shirt, Dora underwear and 6 inch heels at the age of 8.

"Well, I just wanted to tell you that there is an empty dance studio next to the training field. No one uses it anymore. There's basically no need for it because the boys are to busy training to even listen to music. But maybe you could change that." she said with a mischievous smile.

My whole mood lightened. A dance studio that I can have all to myself. This is probably the most exciting thing I've ever heard in my life. I literally jumped into Regina's arms, bringing him into a death defining hug.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you so much Regina. You are the best!" I said letting her out of the hug to be followed my a jolt of more excitement. She nodded her head and shooed me away while giggling at my giddy state.

I thanked her one more time before running back upstairs to get my iPod and back downstairs and out the door.

I started to walk towards the training field. The whole way there I heard various shouts. It seemed like someone was fighting. I made my way in front of the field to see Alpha Tanner circling around Michael. I hope he didn't plan on fighting him. Michael would probably die after one punch.

Tanner was shirtless. He's tan skin making me want to drool. But I was also confused on how he got a tan in Alaska. But I guess that's just werewolves. He was bare foot with

loose fitting sweatpants that hung on his hips for dear life. They would probably gonna fall any second. And I would like to see that. Not an a perverted way, but it would be funny.

I continued walking toward the small building until Michael waved at me. Why was he waving when he was about to get his ass kicked by freaking big foot. I gave him a friendly smile and waved back. But my smile faded once I saw Tanner walking towards me. Michael's lucky, I'm the distraction so he could get the hell away from the beast that was taking long strides in my direction.

I couldn't help but direct my attention towards the tattoo on his shoulder. It was a black wolf with vibrant gold eyes. It's detail was very vivid. It was a beautiful creature. It looked extremely familiar but I just couldn't put my finger on it.

"Like what you see?" a deep voice said snapping me out of my somewhat trance. I looked up to meet his now clear blue eyes. A smirk was plastered on his beautiful face. He facial features were so defined and- wait what am I saying?

I rolled my eyes but decided to answer anyways. "Eh, decent. " I said mentally giggling at his now angry expression.

"What are you doing here short stuff?" he asked making less distance between us. I rolled my eyes once more before staring straight into his eyes.

"I was going to the dance studio before I got interrupted by the one and only Alpha Arrogant. Oops I mean Tanner." I said smirking. His eyebrows dipped and he clenched his jaw before stepping towards me once more. Now he was towering over me once again. I had to look up at him as he did the opposite and looked down on me. I was actually intimidated. This was so unusual for me. I'm barely ever intimidated.

"Oh, so you don't want to gawk at me anymore? Well I wish you would stay, I like the view from here. " he said as his eyes raked my body. I felt the heat rush to cheeks and immediately crossed my arms over my chest. I looked away from him so he wouldn't see I was blushing.

"Oi! Tanner stop flirting and get your ass over here so we could continue training!" Nick yelled earning a nudge by Ty.

"Training? Ha, all I see is you trying to kill this weakest link. No offence Michael!" I said laughing bitterly.

"None taken!" Michael whispered backing away a little. Tanner growled at me and balled up his fist. I raised an eyebrow looking from his fist to his eyes. I rolled my eyes as his face got redder my the second.  "Where's my dad?" I asked him not knowing what his answer would be.

"He's working with a younger group. The one with Ryder." Ty said stepping up between Tanner and I. I nodded understandingly and started to walk off towards the dance studio. Before I got to the door I sent a sly smile to Tanner just to make him even more irritated.

I'm going to make his life a living hell.
