The Girl Next Door

I was just hanging out in my room listening to music, like any other Saturday, when i see a U-Haul truck pulling up outside my window. I could see a man and what looked like his wife pulling boxes out from the truck and into the house next door. I was trying to think why were they here? Where did they come from? My mom interrupted my thoughts, "Marcos, come meet the new neighbors!" I walked to the front yard and saw the man and woman who were unloading the U-Haul but my eyes lit up when I saw the most beautiful girl in the world! My heart was beating so fast it almost stopped. She wasn't real tall, she had long dark hair, the sweetest voice, and a beautiful smile. I didn't realize I was staring until my sister nudged me on the arm and shot me a dirty look. I couldn't help it she is just so stunning. I took another quick glance and she flipped her hair and gave a pretty little smile. Damn that killed me. I snapped out of it. A male voice broke in,"We're the Garcias." We just moved from Sinton. This is our daughter, Mariah. She said hi to my family then looked at me and our eyes met. Her eyes glistened in the sun. She gave me another smile. Our parents and my sister went inside my house but me and Mariah stayed behind. She came to me and shook my hand "So what's your name?" she asked. I replied nervously, "Hi Marcos name my is." Nice one dumbass. She just put her head down and let out a little giggle. I couldn't help but smile. This girl is mesmerizing. We sat outside all night laughing and getting to know each other. She's in my grade, her favorite color's purple and she loves pandas. She's nice, sweet, funny, weird (in the good, funny way), and if I had to describe her in one word, that word would be "perfect". We told jokes, shared stories, told secrets and watched the sunset. Our parents came walking out laughing and talking about getting together again and other parent stuff. They looked surprised to see me and Mariah outside still. My parents called me inside and Mariah's did the same with her. As they all walked inside I stayed looking at her for a few seconds then turned away to go in my house. All of a sudden I felt someone coming behind me and I turned and found Mariah with her arms wrapped around my body hugging me tight. I felt like my heart was gonna pound right out of my chest. The last words she said were "see you at school." She ran back inside where her dad was waiting. He gave me a look I couldn't exactly read like he was unsure wether to hate me or not. I just gave him a wave and went inside. That night I couldn't sleep. She was the only thing on my mind. I've never felt this way about anyone. What was this girl doing to me? I think I'm in love with this girl. Damn! She can't find out. That would ruin everything.
