"Ahhh! It's so noisy in here and it's a library for goodness sake." I thought to myself. I lifted my head up but no lips were moving but there is so much noise. "What is going on? Why can I hear voices? Am I mad? Am I off my head? I can't be. I'm probably just tired from studying." I thought. I got up, picking my bag and books up before leaving the library. It's even louder now there is more people round.
I ran home as fast as my legs could carry me. My head feels like a zoo. It's so loud. I tripped over my own feet, falling to the floor grazing my knees. My books are scattered across the ground. I sighed deeply. I could hear people saying, "Is he okay?", "Should I help him?" I looked up. I realised that the people wasn't physically saying anything.
"Can I read minds?" I thought. This thought made me want to try. I sat up and focused on on particular person. And then it happened... All the other noises was drown out and I could hear exactly what that person was thinking. It was the best and the worst feeling I have ever encountered.
I ran home and waited until the next day to see what I could do with this new skill. I walked into school knowing everything that everyone is thinking. It's giving me a bad headache but I can deal with it. There are many vulnerable people in this school. I focused on of the many vulnerable people and found out some of their secrets. This is some juicy information.
I could use this information to manipulate people so they'd treat me less than nothing. It's kind of sad me doing this but you've got survive some how in school. Life it brutal in school.
So, I started to manipulate people. What? It's not like everyone has this power. I told myself "It's for my own benefit." I used the information I got from them to get something that I wanted.
While I was talking to the person on the field, I noticed a few glares from the guys who bully me. I've been doing this a few days but have they caught on? Will they seek answers? Worst of all, will they beat me up really badly? They started walk towards me. Oh no.
They grabbed my collar and dragged me through the school. We got to the stair well door that was locked. One of the bullies kicked the door in. We climbed up the creep old stair well. I swear it is haunted. I was dragged up each stair. We reached the roof and yet again, they kicked the door down. I was thrown forwards with a stumble.
I turned around. "What do you want from me?" I questioned. "You keep manipulate people. You can read minds right?" One of the bullies queried. "What are you talking about? I can't!" I panicked. "Oh! I hear denial in your voice." Another bully smirked as he spoke.
"What are you on about?!" I cried out. "You know well what I'm talking about kid! Don't make me angry." One threatened. "For goodness sake! And what If I do have this power, what would you want me to do? Hu?" I retorted. "I just want to use his thoughts to torture him." One suggested.
"There is no way I am agreeing to do that!" I snapped. "You just slipped up mate, now I know you can read minds. So do it for me." One of the bullies grinned. "No." I told them sternly. He walked closer to me. I'm genuinely scared.
"Come on do this one thing, would you?" They asked again. "No, I don't want to!" I spat."Why? You just have to tell me what he is thinking." Another tried to be persuasive. "Are you going to use what ever he says against him?" I asked. "Of course! That kid freaks people out. He deserves to be humiliated!" One laughed as the rest of them chuckled with him.
