"Hey! Come eat breakfast before we go."

I yawned. I slipped on my slippers and head to the bathroom to brush my teeth. We stayed together in my apartment, you see.

I head to the kitchen to  where Daniel is, while fixing my hair. "You're cooking again?" I asked as he just smiled. "Impressive."

"You'll be seeing more, just wait." He said.

"I'll be home late. Go home without me. Will you be okay?" He asked as he took a seat infront of me.

"I'm fine. You just go." I said.

He's been coming home REAL late. Like in the middle of night. Sometimes, he came back in the morning. It makes me worried. Is he okay? Is something bothering him? Did he keep a secret from me? Is he? Perhaps? Cheating on me? Or he got bored of me? Negative thoughts started to pop into my head.

"Why, I can't tell you now. But I'll tell you soon, maybe at the end of our chapter?" He said, but it sounded like he was questioning himself. Ugh dammit.

"I understand." LIE.

"Good girl!" He patted my head. "Go back home straight after you finish school," I nodded.

I unpacked all of my books and put it in my locker. The classroom was empty already, leaving me all alone.

I sling my bag. I walked to a nearby bus station. As soon as the bus arrived and it's doors opened, I got inside and sat at the front. I realise there were two boys sitting three rows of seats behind me. I saw them walking through the school gate once,  I guess it was just a coincidence. ...Maybe. I got down from the bus and walked to our apartment.

Suddenly, someone tapped my shoulder. I spun around and saw those guys. "Is there a problem?" I asked.

"I know you! You are Daniel's girl right?" One of them asked.

How did he know? The last time I remembered was that Daniel told me to keep our relationship a secret.

"I don't know any Daniel. If you'll excuse me. I have to go home, my dad is waiting for me." I bowed.

"Your dad died when you're ten." The other guy said.

I froze. How did he know?
