"Where have you been?"

The girl asks as she felt the other end of the bed weigh down.

Daniel keeps quiet, not knowing what to answer. "What did you do?" The girl questions one more time. He ignores her again. It made the girl feel frustrated more.

"Answer me! Can you at least look at me?"

When she doesn't get a response, she walks over to the end of the room and switch on the lights. Daniel back-faces her with his head low, fidgeting with his fingers.

She walks over to his side and spots the mark that's visibly red on his cheek.

His pupils are red, which is shocking. She remembers exactly that he has dark brown eyes. She can practically hear it scream from absolute hatred.

"Why are your eyes red? Where did you get the contact lens?" She asks. "Do you even need them?"

"You did this to me," Daniel scowls. "What do you mean?" She didn't understand whatever was happening at the moment.

"You're asking a lot of questions."

Flashback

She was in class, the second day Daniel and Woojin transferred to her school from Busan.

They haven't arrived to her classroom yet, but when they were about to step in, the girl immediately went to the toilet, her bag clung onto her side.

She just had a sudden weird feeling running up her spine. As she was trying to leave homeroom, she accidentaly bumped her shoulder with Daniel.

Her black bottle- that was originally in her bag's pocket- rolled down onto the floor by the action.

However, she didn't notice. She just continued her way to the bathroom, having absolutely no idea that it dropped.

Meanwhile Daniel was eyeing the bottle and the girl confusedly. He bent down to grab the bottle. Woojin was already inside, but a part of him wanted to search for the girl and retrieve it back to her.

He walked along the same direction he saw her go. Unfortunately, he got lost in the midst of students wandering here and there.

He felt so left out and puzzled. He didn't know what to do. He was just standing there, watching nothing particularly until he heard a loud scream.

The loud scream was loud enough to snap Daniel from his thoughts. Some people even stopped what they were doing but eventually returned back to it.

Daniel felt like he was being pulled towards the sound. He tried searching    from where it was coming from, and came across a person, screaming as she clutches onto her head as if she was about to die.

Of course, Daniel knew who she was.

It was his new classmate he just bumped into. He approached her and tapped her shoulder.

Her hair was a mess and she just stared at Daniel for a long period of time without blinking, or simply she glared at him.

Daniel scratched the back of his neck and passed her the black item he was holding. "Uhh.. Hi. You dropped this in front of our class. I'm your classmate, Kang Dan-"

He cut himself off when he thought that she wasn't even hearing a word he said. He even thought that it was kind of rude to let a guy ramble without someone listening to his complains.

Her eyes trailed down to her bottle in his hand. She looked at Daniel straight in the eyes and grabbed her water bottle harshly, pushing him away as she drank it in a rush. Daniel swore he saw her choking for a second.

His eyes furrowed when he saw red drip from the corner of her lips to her  neck. At first, he thought it was weird to see a girl to drink with no manners. But then, he thought,

Is that blood?

Daniel shook his head. No, it's probably rose syrup.

But the scent of it said otherwise. It reeked of blood and Daniel knew what rose syrup smells like.
