Chapter 31: All Alone

The sunlight shone through the curtain and to my eyes, lighting up the bedroom.

I tried to move but then I realised that a pair of arms were wrapped around my waist.

I chuckled and turned around, just to see a peaceful Jungkook sleeping with his mouth slightly parted open.

"Kookie-ah.."
I pinched his nose and his eyes instantly shot opened with his big giant eyes.

"What?! What happened?! Is the world collapsing?! Is there an army of cockroach coming to eat us?! WHERE IS HYUN JI?!"
He sat up and yelled, almost giving me a heart attack.

"Yah, can you not give me a heart attack in the morning? Calm down my dear hubby."
I chuckled at his priceless reaction.

"So the world is safe?"
He sat back down and grabbed both of my shoulders tightly.

A smile formed on my face at his immaturity.
"No, we're going to die with Hyun Ji in 5 seconds later because the roof is about to fall on us."

He wrinkled his brows and pursed his lips, pouting like a kid.
"Yah~ Don't tease me! I know you're trying to scare me!"
He crossed his arms above his chest.

"Why are you so worried nowadays? Is there anything going on?"
I locked my arms around his waist and buried my face in his chest.

His heartbeat increased and I could feel his body becoming even more hotter. Plus, he was even sweating like he just came out of the shower.

"N-No... Nothing is going on. Everything's okay.."
He caressed my hair but I felt him trembling, like he was afraid or worried or, nervous.

"Well.. Okay. If you say so.."
I shrugged off my shoulders just in time when the door swung opened, revealing Hyun Ji, running towards us and jumping into our arms with her teddy bear.

"Mummy! Daddy!"
She gave us a peck on our cheeks and giggled cheekily.

"Good morning sweetheart."
Jungkook had Hyun Ji in his right arm and me in his left arm, we were both hugging him tightly.

"I love you Mummy and Daddy!"

I loved this moment as well, I will always cherish this moment with my little baby and my big giant hubby.
"Mummy and Daddy loves you too baby."
I kissed her forehead as she let out her baby laugh.

"Bye mummy!"
Hyun Ji waved at me before going in to her school.

"Remember to stay away from those fetus!"
I reminded her as she held out a peace sign.

I let out a heavy sigh and wondered what to do for the whole day since Jungkook went for practice, Hyun Ji went to school and me? I'm just a normal house wife.

I've cleaned the whole mansion by myself since all the maids were taking a break for a few days.

So now what am I going to do?

I then remembered that I needed to clear things out with my mum, about why Ahjussi is living with her. Is he her new husband or boyfriend or what?!

I unlocked the door and entered my mum's house. This was my home last time.

"Eomma?"
I looked around the house but there was no one.

I went upstairs and placed my hand on the doorknob, ready to turn it but stopped when I heard moans and groans from the opposite side.

(A/N: I feel disgusted writing the 'Moana' word.. 🤢🤢)

A soft gasp escaped mouth and my throat went dry, I was going to shout for my mum but my words were stuck in my throat.

"I shouldn't have came here.."
I sighed and ran back to the mansion.

Just when I reached home, I saw the same lady from yesterday night, standing in front of the door.

I tilted my head to a side and started to get suspicious of this woman.

I gained up all my courage and stepped in front of her although yes, I was afraid and nervous.

"Excuse me, but what are you doing here again?"
I said politely while I felt my heart bouncing up and down in a fast pace.

She took off her hoodie and this time, she wore a mask so I couldn't see her face again.

"Eun Mi. Jungkook isn't home. Little Hyun Ji went to school. All the maids are taking a break. So you're alone right?"
I could sense her smirking against her mask as she said sinisterly, adding a low chuckle.

"Who are you? I will not hesitate to call the police over. What do you want?!"
I said boldly and protectively, standing in front of the door, getting ready to run inside.

"Darling, don't get so nervous. I just needed to check if you're alone. That's all. To make sure that you're safe."
She threw her head back and laughed like a witch.

"Please don't hurt my family. I don't know what or who you want but don't hurt my family."
My voice crushed with fear as a tear escaped my eyes.

"Oh no I won't-"

I didn't let her finish her sentence. I was too scared. I quickly turned the doorknob and ran inside, slamming the door closed after me.

"I know you will! Please! Stop bothering me!"

I slid down the door and hugged my knees tightly, burying my face in between them as I sobbed quietly.

I was just waiting for Jungkook to come back and chase this witch away.

I felt uncomfortable and insecure. No one was here to protect me, to save me now. I was all alone in this giant mansion with a dangerous stranger outside the door.

"Open up Eun Mi.. Or your daughter will never see the light ever again..."
