Assassin's Creed ~ Office One Shots

New Faces.

The Monday morning meeting was the same as usual, the same exhausted faces, stifled yawns and looks of hangovers still lingering from a Saturday night out. Expect today you all had a new addition to your office

"Good morning everyone," Jacob chimed, he got some replies and others just responded with a monosyllabic noise - mainly Ezio and Edward as they looked like they might as well still be in bed.

"I hope you've all had a nice weekend and are all feeling refreshed for the week ahead." Jacob said, and Arno appeared to scoff, his brows arching in a surprised manner - like he'd love to see the day that happened

"Anywho, I think most important we should address the elephant in the room - I know you've all noticed the new face!" Jacob laughed

"Elephant? That's a bit harsh Jacob, he has just started." Connor piped up, looking genuinely concerned. You felt so sorry for the poor guy at times

"It's a saying... for stating the obvious." Jacob returned to Connor who then flushed with embarrassment

"Right - back to it." Jacob said, turning to his right as all of your eyes suddenly flickered up to this new man

He was smartly dressed in a crisp beige coloured shirt, dark suit bottoms and ran brogues. His extremely short black hair cropped in a shaved style and an awkwardly nervous smile framing his face, the nerves abundant in his deep brown eyes

"I'd like you all to give our new Sales Exec, Bayek, a warm welcome." Jacob said, and you all applauded. It was then clear he wanted to give Bayek a brief introduction to you all in the office.

Jacob first started with you seeing that you were sat closest.

"May I introduce you to our lovely senior administrator, (your name)." Jacob smiled and you shook Bayek's hand.

"She doesn't look that old." Bayek joked, teasing about the 'senior' part in your title. You laughed a little to amuse him at his little joke on his first day

"Yes, that's good. Stay in my good books." You grinned up at him, "and welcome to the team." You offered again, affirming the handshake before he let go.

Jacob moved down, his hand hovering awkwardly by Bayek's back

"This is Ezio - He is our sales coordinator." Jacob said and Ezio flashed his expensive white smile

"The best around." The Italian charmed, holding his posture like some finely bred stallion.

"Well, he likes to think he is." Edward laughed, feet on the desk and a smug look on his face. It was clear to say Bayek was clearly a little intimidated by Edward's nonchalant attitude

"Name's Edward, I'm the media marketing assistant-" he introduced with a sort of lazy and yet still established tone.

Jacob rolled his eyes and his finished getting Bayek affiliated with his new team; before the meeting broke off and once again Jacob disappeared with Bayek to get him properly inducted.

In the kitchen, you all gathered like eager little kids to talk about your newest team member

"I like Bayek, he seems really nice." Connor smiled as he stirred his coffee. Edward, leaning against the counter top- sighed and shook his head

"He seems bloody boring - if he comes to me asking questions I'll tell him where to stick it." (Edward hated anything to do with training other members of staff)

"Someone remember to direct him elsewhere for training." You laughed softly to the boys before you sighed, putting some hot water in your mug

"Well I like him, for all we've seen so far he seems like a really good guy. You never know, He might get a lot of problems in this place sorted." You offered with a shrug, as you went to grab a tea spoon to stir your drink.

"Of Course you'd say that... you just like another hunk to look at besides me... and Jacob." Ezio jeered. Facing away, you allowed your cheeks to flame with embarrassment at his words and you only turned away when you felt calmed

"Oh Ezio," you smirked, "keep dreaming." Your teaspoon went with a clink into the bottom of the metal basin as you walked out of the kitchen. It was his turn to be embarrassed now as the other boys laughed.
