Sentence example:
Ame ga futte iru.
あめ が ふって いる。
雨 が ふって いる。
It is raining.
Side Note:
*Ga「が」is a subject particle.
Since 'Ame' 「雨」is the main subject of the sentence, it is added after it.
*futte 「ふって」as you may have already guessed, it means rain.
Furu is the actual word but to make it a continuous sentence we add tte 「って」 .
*Iru is to exist. It is used for inanimate object.
Since rain is not 'alive' it is appropriate to use it here.
