Blue, yellow, orange and red seemed to blend perfectly in the sky as the sun set behind the horizon, darkness covering the ship. To celebrate a day of adventure, new recruits, a favourable pursuit of treasures and the golden liquid that was well known and loved by all pirates, the captain had decided a feast should be held in honour of the fruitful day.

Drunken pirates sat around a large table in the ship's dining hall, chatting and yelling drunken slurs at each other. Amongst the loud pirates sat the young recruit she had noticed earlier in the day. His stunning smile and sweet laugh had the warmth tighten it's hold on her heart.

She was sat beside her father but paid no attention to him as she gazed at the boy, though she had to take her eyes off he who had her attention when her dad excused himself, having had a bit too much of the favourite drink.

"I'm going to get some shut-eye... will you be fine by yourself?" His drunken slur and heavy accent made him barely understandable but she managed to understand just enough words to know what he was saying.

"I'm not really tired so I'll just stay here, da." Her father nodded and started stumbling towards his cabin. Her eyes followed him warily, afraid he might fall. He made it safely to his cabin and she was now left alone, ignored by the rest of the crew as they were all of the superstitious belief that no woman should be on a pirate ship. She decided to gaze upon the mystery boy but found his seat to empty. With his disappearance, a new feeling spread in her chest, tightening around her heart in an uncomfortable way.
