A vast amount of bubbles spans out and rise towards the surface of the salty water as she falls deeper and deeper into the dark abyss. A fire ignited in her lungs and her breathing becomes laborious.

She struggles against her holds, but to no avail. She sink deeper and deeper down into the unknown as the fire spreads within her lungs.

Just as the last air leaves her lungs, the burning in her chest stops. The pain is gone. Her lungs has expanded, though not with air. Water has filled her lungs, yet she feels no pain- no desperate need for air. She breathes.

With her first breath, a sudden pain engulfs her legs. Agonising pain - though not worse than her heartache. She looks to her legs and see them twist and turn as they merge together to form a tail.

Her eyes widen with the realisation of what's happening. Where her legs once were, a beautiful, turquoise and scaly tail has taken place. She touches it - it must be a dream.

Her fingers make contact with the small, rigid plates that cover the tail. Cold to the touch, yet all too real. She gasps, hands covering her mouth. A thought strikes her and she slowly moves her hand to her neck near her jaw. There, she feels groves on her neck, groves that weren't present previously.

She breathes again. There's no pain. She feels no differentiation from her life above water. She can breathe, she moves effortlessly, she's alive...
