Talking

My Legs are like ice,
Don't pretend to be nice.
More painful than I imagine,
It's a curse from within.

"I was forced here!"
"No need to worry dear."
Talking is rubbish,
White noise is my only wish.

I promise, I tried!
But they're not on my side,
They call me a liar to my face
Make me feel like a disgrace.

Then I met you.
You taught me talking, I should do.
You helped me see the world in colour,
One thing she couldn't do, my mother.

Thank you.
For all that you do.
For putting up with me,
I didn't get it before, you see.

Some perform surgery.
But mine's more like a fairy,
Helping me out,
Even when I pout.
