And suddenly we were flying.

Figuratively.

We're not flying.

We're falling.

And I'm in Damon's arms.

He's got his eyes opened. I've got my eyes open too, and we watched as the green grass grew near and near.

And then we literally landed on Damon's feet, I mean, he was still standing up, and I am still in his arms.

" Ready? " he said

" Don't let me go. " I said

" No, there's no way I'm letting you go. " he replied

I smiled at him, then we wooshed  to the woods.

We stopped when we were far from the house.

" Why are we stopping? " I asked

" Could you tie your hair up? "

" Why? "

" I kept on eating and eating your hair. "

"Oh, sorry. "

I had a hair tie on my wrist and tied my hair up.

" Ready? " he said

" Take me far, far away. "

After a few hours or so, we were able to hail a taxi cab.

And we were running for quite some time and Damon didn't even shed a sweat!

I touched his forehead.

" What are you doing?" he said

" You didn't even sweat. "

He smiled.

The taxi driver looked at us.

" Where to? " he said

Damon looked at him in the eye.

" Wickery Bridge. Mystic Falls. " he said

" My-"

" Take us there. Don't be afraid. " he said

Then Damon broke eye contact.

Then we were on our way.

" So, you're not taking your finals anymore? " he asked

" Yeah, looks like it. "

" Why? "

" I don't feel like it. "

" You will not be able to graduate. "

" I know. "

" You won't be able to go to college. "

" Yeah. "

" Candace, what do you see in your future?" he asked

" Excuse me? "

" What do you think is in your future? "

" Future? Damon, I'm dying by the minute. Who knows how long my lifespan is. Except for my witch mother. "

" We'll find him. "

" How? We don't have any leads. No names. Not even a location. The world is huge. There are billions of people here on earth! And one of them is him. "
