The Preachers Daughter

Chapter 1

I slowly closed my eyes to what I thought was going to be a nice little nap but be for long I heard a ear piercing scream yelling "NEVER!!" 

I stood up fast looking around to make sure it wasn't a little kid... It wasn't, I stood in place for a couple of seconds and thought to myself "What the hell is going on" I sat back down becoming very dizzy and starting to loose my breath I held my chest with my right hand and looking down at my left hand resting in my lap it was covered in something that looked like "Blood" I started to scream and began panting "This cant be happening" I said out loud my cousin walked into the sanctuary with a faster pace then you normally would.

"Mermaid what's wrong wh-why are you screaming" yes he calls me mermaid since my name is Ariel after  the little mermaid "Nothing, I'm fine" I lied. 

"Liar" He was right I was lying straight to his face.

"Percy I'm good" Our family has a thing with movies "You saw something, You felt something" He stated very curiously "Blood" I said blankly "YOU SAW BLOOD!?" He said a little louder then i would have liked. 

"Shhh shut up" I didn't want anyone to hear what had happened let alone have my dad find out "You saw blood" he whisper yelled "Yeah and I-" he stopped me mid sentence  "And you what" "Maybe if you gave me enough time to answer you would have known by now" My words full of power and cockiness rolled off my tongue with extreme ease "Sorry" he replied, I continued 

"I saw a flash of yellow and heard a voice yell never" He leaned forward to closely listen to my words and had a frightened look on his face "PERC! You good?" I yelled his name to snap him out of the trance he was in "ugh yeah I'm just um, so that was it? you just heard a voice yell out never nothing else" He said pulling out his iPhone and opening up the Notes app.

"No that was it, wh-what are you doing?" I inched myself closer to him to see what he was doing a little easier "taking notes that's what I'm doing" He said not stopping what he was typing for a second "I can read genius" I said sarcastically.

"Oh you don't say, Then you can see that I'm taking notes so I won't forget what happened to you right and if ANYTHING happens CALL ME" He looked up from his phone and meet with my gaze he looked into my hazel eyes wanting to make sure did understand him.

"I want you to know that I'm only not telling uncle Jason about this because I think it has to do with the newbies" "How'd"  "Ariel" He stated harshly but not in a frightening way


Also giving me a "Really, Really bish" Look "I didn't even have to talk to them to feel that crooked vibe" he said looking and the ground and fiddling fingers "It was really just the two girls though and maybe the boy who had messy hair" I protested trying to defend them, wait I'm trying to defend them? Oddly enough I became defensive over a group of teens I didn't know, just meeting them is stating to give me all these wired visions who knows what else can happen 

"Mermaid listen to me, You don't and I repeat you DON'T know these people and you're in there corner" I cut him off, trying to find and make up an excuse for myself "I'm not In there corner" I protested 

"listen to me" he repeated but this Time pausing in between each word, backing it up with a stern and bass full tone in his voice

"You don't know what they can do to you, mentally physically and emotionally you can really lose it" "Percy I know myself, you don't have to educate me on myself" I stood up and leaned over kissing him on the cheek "thanks for checking up on me and if anything happens I'll call" trying not to sound so pissed off but also respectful was hard

I left the sanctuary and walked into the foyer looking from my dad, since our family's always the last ones who are still at the church I decided i'd check the offices up stairs, I walked over to the elevator and pressed the button to call it down to the floor I was on stepping into elevator as it arrived I pressed the button with the number "2" on it, the floor that had all the offices on it I walked down the long hall passing all the other offices in the hallway, Getting to a closed door with a silver plaque that said "Pastor Shepherd"  on it at the end of the hallway I knocked on it since the door was closed after all

"Dad" "Can I come in?" I asked, hearing a faint "Yeah" come from behind the beautiful wooden cherry door and opened it "Hey dad you think you're ready to go" "umm I have some work still" "is mom still here?" I asked quickly ready to leave the church "yes, you can take my car home it's fine"

He said tossing the keys to his white 2014 diesel BMW "Thanks" I said giving him a toothy smile while turning on my heels and heading straight out the way I came, closing the door behind me I skipped Down the hall "It's nice to be able to drive myself around" I thought, I stopped in front of the elevator and pushed the button taking me down to the foyer, I stepped out the elevator and checked around to make sure everything was nice and neat even though that wasn't my job. Pushing the big glass door open and walking out to the parking lot. I walked towards the car and unlocked the door stepping into and sitting onto the gorgeous black leather seats with red stitching I buckled up puting the key in the ignition and started the car, I put my black ray bans on and sped off happy to leave the church maybe alittle to happy.  

I stopped at the stop light like the diligent driver that I am, and checked my phone like the diligent TEENAGER that I am and saw that I had a text from Leo. 

From Leo 

Hey Ariel! It's Leo (in case you forgot) do you want to meet up some place today? I'd really like to get to know more about you and your gift and maybe talk to you about mine. 

I read the text and thought that meeting him would do no harm so I replyed back.

To Leo

Hey Leo! Yeah I remember, how about the coffee bean? Now? 

I looked up startled by the sound of a car horn signaling to me that the red stop light had now turned green. My phone soon buzzed and I pick it back up.

From Leo 

Now at the coffee bean, sounds good I'll meet you there in 5.

I read the text and smiled i'm not sure exactly why i smiled but i just did maybe it was the fact that i was going to see Leo again or maybe it was just  that i was going to go get some coffee yeah that had to be it, that's what it was a craving for coffee, I drove to the coffee shop. once I got to the almost empty parking lot I parked my well my dad's car  soon getting out of the little sports car locking it and making my way into the shop. I got to the coffee place first I wasn't that far from the church that's way I chose it and I really love the atmosphere it's so clam and peaceful. I ordered a large vanilla macchiato with caramel sauce, the handsome Batista soon called "Mermaid!" The name I always give to them just to hear how ridiculous it sounds I chuckled to myself and walked over to the counter 

"thanks mark" I flashed a smile, the smile he always complements me on "Anytime Ari there's goes that smile I love" he grinned, I took a sip of my coffee and replied "ahh and here's the delicious coffee I love" he smiled. 

hey y'all i'm not sure how long this chapter is exactly but let me tell ya the story "the boy in the Attic" has consumed me life entirely it is so cute i don't know how that is relevant to any of this but YEAHHH
