I locked my phone and threw it on my bed and watched it slid down the side of my bouncy bed, I laid on my back and stared at the ceiling slowly surrendering myself into a peaceful sleep

I was woken up by the annoying sound of my alarm going off, Making an awful beeping that I believe that every teenager despises with a fiery passion, I rolled over on to my side so that I could swing my legs over the side of my bed I pushed myself up off the bed and stood up to my feet. I dragged my tired body over to were my phone had been laying all night, I picked it up and hit the off button and checking the time 6:30am umm I not really have to go I thought to myself

"it's only freshman year of college It can wait" I said dialing the number to my English professor, he was the only one I had to worry about

"hello" I heard his deep raspy voice through the speaker

"Professor Weldon" I said putting on my best 'sick' voice "yes Miss shepherd" his voice replied back a little displeased with my call

"I'm a bit under the whether" he had finished my sentence with the perfect words "So you won't be coming to class this morning nor this evening, will you?"

He questioned "No I don't think that will be possible" I added a fake little cough at the end "well Miss shepherd.. I hope too see you tomorrow, get well" I could almost see the pissed off grin plastered on his face, Believing not one of my words.

I slugged my way down the steps and into the kitchen "morning ma" I gave her a little smile

'"Why are'nt  you dressed" She said putting the milk back into the fridge

"Um canceled" I said rubbing the bridge of my nose with the knuckle of my pointer finger

"Canceled ahh you do know that you rub your nose when your lying right?" She questioned

"Yes and no" I giggled "So go get dressed shepherd" she barked "Not going" I spat back "Fine then, so  for when you're failing DON'T come crying to your father or I whining about how you're failing, Keep it shut!"

"Understood general" I saluted and grabbed a chocolate shake from the fridge and made my way to the living room "Bye" I yelled, do to the fact that she was still in the kitchen

"Where are you going?" She yelled back at me twice as loud, the tone of her voice stopping me dead in my tracks, scaring the holy ghost right out of me, I turned on my heels to face her "Out" I simply said

"Not like that. You need to go get changed before you go any where, you have a image to keep. Now go up stairs so you can look presentable" she scowled her words at me while tucking a piece of freshly permed hair behind her ear

"I?! need to look presentable, Why? I'm not the pastors wife I don't have an 'image' to keep if I want to go out in my night clothes I can" I threw my words at her loudly and like hot coals, Hot and deadly

"No you're not the pastors wife you're the pastors daughter now go and change" She threw her words with less anger then before and a lot less then I threw mine. I bit down on my bottom lip as hard as I could, Feeling the blood surface almost dripping out of my plump lip. Swallowing my anger, pride and over all frustration I took myself and changed

I can't believe she's actually making me change. I thought to myself  "She's pathetic" I must have said that out loud while throwing my shaggy t shirt and pair of black cut up shorts on to my bed because my father had replied to my lovely statement that truly didn't need a reply

"She's your mother calm down" he said a little to non chalant for my liking

"calm down?" I questioned "Yes Ariel, calm down for once and just ignore her instead of retaliating" he lend up against my door frame

"You and ma are car pulling" My question came off more like demand or an order appose to a question "We are now" He said fishing around in his cream colored pants pocket and pulling out his shiny BMW car keys "be care full!"

He couldn't stress enough as he walked away "Like she's my own" I said trying to remove some of  the worry that clearly laid on his shoulders "That's the problem" he said from down the hall loud enough so I could hear him "I can still hear you" I laughed "that's the point" He teased

I had gotten dressed and walked out of my room and down the steps. I opened the front door and walked over to my dad's car and unlocked it, putting the key in the ignition and starting up the motor I looked at my phone to check the time which was now 7:50 I noticed that I had received a text, from Leo at 7:13

From Leo:

Good Morning, what are you up to today?

I smiled slightly blushing a bit at the fact he had sent me a good morning text and wanted to know what I would be doing

To Leo:

Good morning! sorry from the late reply I was a bit busy, I'm not doing anything today why?

Yeah a bit busy yelling at my mom I thought. My mind snapped me into a daydream thinking and wondering if I sounded like a little desperate girl that wanted the new cute guy at school to notice her  brand new hot pink light up skechers

but a car horn had snapped me back to reality making me look up to see for where the sound was coming from I seen my mom pull out the drive way "Don't be dumb and think things through because I know how many dumb things you've done. Don't be getting yourself into trouble today"

"Trouble trouble trouble OHH OHH" I had sang "Good bye" she sighed "And good riddance" I mumbled
