I woke up to hear snapping. I slowly squinted my eyes to see Cathy, Cole, Noah, and Alec holding up their phones, taking what I think was pictures.

"Shhhh. Mom, I think you woke them up." I heard Noah whisper.

"Oh be quiet." Cathy whispered back. I heard a few more snapping before I finally decided to get up. But I was held back by something around my waist. I turned around to see Ryder's hand around my waist. I tried to pull away but his grip just tightened. I groaned and pouted. I heard laughing and I glared at the boys and Cathy. They held up their hands and walked out of the room in a single file. I nudged him but he still wouldn't budge. Then I did the reasonable thing. I screamed. He shot off the bed and pulled me as close to him as possible which meant me being pressed up against his body. Then he squinted around the room to see any intruders but when he didn't see any, he just sat indian style and pulled me onto his lap.

"Why'd you do that?" He murmured while cuddling his face into my neck.

"You wouldn't get up." I said. He looked at me with tons of emotions swirling in his eyes but I couldn't understand most of them. "Can you let go of me now?" I asked. He sighed and nodded. I shot up and ran towards the bathroom to do my business. I decided to shower real quick so I did. After 10 minutes, I stepped out but realized one thing. I didn't bring any clothes with me and Ryder could still be in my room. Oh well. I wrapped a towel around my body and stepped out. To my relief, no one was in my room. I walked over to my closet and picked out black high waisted shorts with a white crop top. I grabbed my sneakers and walked out the door and downstairs. While I was walking mid-step, my phone dinged with a text. I stopped and slowly pulled out my phone to see the text.

It seems as if you have some new friends. They won't be around to protect you forever. I've seen that Cole is back. How is he? How is your stomach doing? Any pain?

I shuddered. I hastily looked around the home, catching short breaths. I walked all the way and decided that I would go streetfight today, needing to let off a little steam. When I walked into the kitchen, everyone stopped to smile at me. I smiled half-heartedly at them and grabbed a bowl of cereal. I rapidly shoved some into my mouth, ignoring the excessive chatter around me.

How is he finding out all this information? Should I tell Cathy? Nah. Should I-

"Alexa? Alexa? Alexa?" I was interrupted from my thoughts by Ryder. I looked up at him to see his face full of concern. "Are you okay?" He asked. I nodded and quietly finished eating my cereal. After I was done, I washed the bowl, and ran upstairs again. I grabbed a duffel bag and shoved in some grey sweatpants, a blue with black straps sports bra, a water bottle, my phone, my beats, a sports jacket, and my running shoes. I threw the bag out the window and then walked downstairs, telling Cathy that I was going out. Just as I was about to walk out the door, "Where are you going?" I jumped and then calmed myself down. I turned around to see Ryder standing there with the guys behind him.

"I'm going out." I quickly replied and then walked out the door. I looked around and sprinted to the back, grabbing my bag and then walking over to my car, driving off to the gym. When I walked in, a rude voice interrupted me.

"Excuse me? I think the beauty salon is across the street." I turned around to see a new person at the counter. I heard snickers from a group of guys to my left. Obviously new.

"What did you say?" I asked politely.

"I said the beauty salon is across the street." He repeated, smirking. I let my anger overtake me and I stormed behind the counter, grabbing him by the collar.

"Alexa Field." I said and he nodded in fear. "Good" I said and let him go, seeing him drop to the floor, then scrambling to get up. I walked past everyone to go straight to the punching bags.
