Sou x Reader: Birthday Surprises

It was (Name)'s birthday today. However, all her friends and family were too busy to celebrate it with her. Both of her parents were on business trips and her friends couldn't come because of a school project that (Name) didn't know about since she didn't take the class.

So, while (Name) was scrolling through Twitter she noticed some tweets from an utaite she followed named Sou. It looked like he was out for lunch when since he Tweeted a picture of the McDonald's meal he ordered. She smiled; Sou's tweets and music always made her mood lighter. However, it wasn't enough to help her dismiss the feeling of being unloved.

That's when she decided that she would go take a walk outside since she was so free for the rest of the day. (Name) got herself dressed in a comfy sweater and jeans and walked out the door. As she walked outside, she also liked Sou's tweet and replied to it with "You sure can eat a lot, Sou-kun!"

With her headphones in, (Name) looked around the many buildings in the shopping district she entered. There were a lot of people in the area going in different directions. She saw different stores ranging from clothing stores to toy stores. She entered a small, cute boutique with some simple, yet stylish, clothes and looked around as the song switched to Sou's cover of "Love" by Gen Hoshino.

A second after the song changed, (Name) received a notification on her phone: She got a direct message from the one and only Sou. She was shocked at the notification that appeared on her phone; Was this a spam account? Was she tricked? Or was she getting hacked? (Name) snapped out of her thoughts and opened Twitter on her phone as her heart thumped against her chest.

nico_nico_sou: Thank you very much for the comment!! And I noticed on your Twitter that it's your birthday today!

nico_nico_sou: Happy Birthday (Name)-san! How's your day been now that you're one year older?

(Name) was shocked. Sou ACTUALLY direct messaged her! She was in absolute shock and was grinning to herself. Hesitantly and with shaking fingers, she typed a response back to him.

(Twitter Name): Thank you very much, Sou-kun! To be honest looks like I'll be celebrating my birthday by myself this time around lol

She shrugged off the feeling that Sou would respond back after that, but she was proved wrong when she got an immediate response back.

nico_nico_sou: That's not something to "lol", (Name)-san! Birthdays are a special day you know! They only come once a year!

(Twitter Name): I know they're special, but my friends are busy and my parents aren't in town. Besides, I'm making it special! In fact, I went to a shopping district to get myself something.

nico_nico_sou: I still think that it's sad, though... Wouldn't it be more fun to be with everyone you love?

(Twitter Name): That's true, but I don't want to bother them when they're busy.

nico_nico_sou: So what kind of store are you in right now?

(Twitter Name): It's a boutique with cute clothes. It's called (Boutique Name). I'm just looking around, though.

For some reason, his next response took a moment; the last few messages have been immediate responses. However, the next message took her by surprise.

nico_nico_sou: That's in (Shopping District Name) right?

(Twitter Name): Um yeah. How did you know that?
