"Hello? Urata-kun?"

"(Name)? Where did you go? I couldn't find you anywhere at the party!"

(Name) sighed into the phone as she walked around the town. "I was getting a bit exhausted by all of the people, you know? I just need a bit of alone time..."

"... Is it Sakata?" Urata asked; he always knew how she felt, even if she didn't show it on her face. "I saw you watching him talk to that girl. They were talking for a really long time."

She was quiet on her side of the call as she watched a cute couple walked past her while on their date.

"(Name), I mean this with good intentions, but Sakata is an idiot." He got a small laugh from her and he laughed a bit, too. "He won't get the signals, so you should tell him bluntly."

"I don't know if I can even give signals, let alone tell him how I feel."

(Name) and Sakata were online friends for years and she always saw him as a really good person. Sakata was the one who asked if they can meet in real life; at first it was an awkward meeting, but his humor broke the ice and the two were talking as easily as they did through the screen. With time, (Name) realized that she fell in love with him even before they met in person; he has brought so many good things and joy into her life. She didn't know how Sakata would react to her feelings though, so she decided to stay quiet about it and keep their happy friendship.

However, at the party that she was at earlier that night, she found it a lot harder to keep her feelings suppressed. While she and Urata were talking to Amatsuki, a girl approached Sakata and they were just in a world of their own. Sakata looked extremely interested in their conversation and it seemed like he was having a lot more fun than he'd have with (Name). (Name) couldn't take the jealousy she was feeling and left the party after a while of enduring it.

"Besides, I think that as long as Sakata-kun is happy, I don't mind if—"

"I know that you care for Sakata's happiness," Urata interrupted gently. "But I care about your happiness too. We all do. Even Sakata." (Name) was quiet, feeling guilty for making her friend worry about her. "Take your time to relax, I understand. But be careful, okay?"

"Yeah... Thanks, Urata-kun."

(Name) hung up the phone and put it in her pocket. She found herself aimlessly walking around the town while she was thinking, not even realizing that she was just walking around for almost an hour. She came across an empty children's park and sat down at the swing set. Halfheartedly, she used her legs to push her swing back and forth in small movements and continued to think.

I always thought that I'd be happy if Sakata-kun was happy. So... why can't I be okay with him being with someone else? First of all, he doesn't belong to me; I have no right to keep him from other girls. Sakata-kun is his own man. No matter how much I love him, he's the only person who can decide who he wants to be with and I shouldn't—

"There you are!"

(Name) jumped at the voice and turned to the entrance of the park, where Sakata was standing and staring right back at her in shock. He immediately ran to the swings; when he made it to where she was, he plopped himself onto the swing to the left of her. He looked utterly exhausted and was sweating.

"S-Sakata-kun? What're you doing here?"

He was panting for breath as he tried to cool himself down by pulling at the collar of his shirt repeatedly. "I... I should ... be the one ... asking you that..."
