Chapter Five

It’s All Over

I woke up in the hospital bed, well, I think. My vision is very blurry. I opened my eyes to see I was in a hospital. I saw my mom, dad, sister, and Leo.

“Good!” a doctor said, “Your up,” I looked around everywhere and was shocked, I didn’t know what happened. I smiled anyways. “Um, what……” I paused for a second seeing that Leo was worried looking as ever. “ Never mind.” I said remembering a little.

“Haha! Okay, let me do some tests and you can have a snack for energy, then you are all set to go,” he said smiling.

“So,” said Leo, “Your fine?” he said hopefully. “Yea,” I said weakly.

Okay, here is what I remembered I was going to the car for my clothes smashed my finger, I stopped thinking and looked at my finger and saw it was a cast on it, I guess It was really seriously damaged for a cast. So there was a…black…cat.. By the car and I cant remember anymore.

“Good,” Leo said, “I brought you flowers” he said smiling, Oh was he so sweet! I smiled also. “Thanks” I said.

“WHEN are we getting out of here?!” said my selfish sister. “Right when Vickie gets her tests and snack,” said my mom rolling her eyes at her.

Then I thought about it they only called my ‘Vickie’ when I was a little kid, I wonder why they are calling it me that name now.

The doctor came back and did the tests and we all found out that I was fine, and a cat scratched me. “I guess you passed out because…. The cat scratched you where a opened scar was at and you were bleeding.” said the doctor.

“Well here is your snack” he gave me a juice box and a cookie. “Thank you.” I said smiling. We went to the front desk to check me out of the hospital. We got in the car.

“What time is it?” I said really worried. “ 12:30, doesn’t your wedding start at 3?” my mom said. “Yes, but it takes 4 hours to get there!!” I said almost crying. “Well lets speed things up!” said my dad, the same thing he said when I was running late for my first period in high school.

We arrived at the airport and I threw my juice box away and devoured my cookie I was super hungry. We ran in line and the lines were really short.

“What airport are you arriving at?” said the front desk lady, I call them the FDL.

“Um, Chicago, IL” I said with a big smile on my face. “Ok,” she said smiling, she checked her computer and the smile disappeared. “Oh, sorry that flight is delayed from the horrible weather that is happening.

My smile disappeared too. “Okay thank you.” I said smiling anyways and the frowning when we left the front desk. I sat in a chair and starting crying.

“Oh, its going to be okay” said Leo. “No, no it’s not, it’s no way to get there faster and it starts at three.” I said wiping my tears, “ I’ll just re-schedule it.” I said taking out my cell phone.

“Hello?” my fiance said

“Hey.” I said sniffling.

“What’s wrong?”

“I-

He cut me off.

“You wanna cancel and just forget about it?”

“No, the flight got delayed and I cant make so I was wondering if tomorrow will be fine?”

“Nah, lets cancel.”

“Why?” I said then I heard in the background a girl voice saying

‘Hey come on sexy bear!’

“Who was that?” I said sadly.

“My new girlfriend, yea that’s why I said lets cancel I found someone else that is 50% better and 50% hotter than you.” I heard him chuckle.

“You sound so stupid, obnoxious, and your a crack- head bastard!..” I said and finished it with, “Go to hell.” then I dropped my phone and put my head in my arms and started crying again and never knew that, that would happen ever.

It’s All over, here is a tip never marry a guy that you only knew for a month, Or your heart would be stabbed and broken.
