Kurapika didn't expect this, he surely didn't. He was so confident that his little 'plan' would absolutely work but it seems like fate has other plans for him, a fate that not even the Kurta himself can ever fanthom.

During the supposed exchange Pakunada expertly deceived the blonde, slowly manipulating him to get what she wants and that is to free Kuroro unscathed.

Pakunoda is a very observant woman. It is a skill that she learned early on. If you want to survive, you need to be aware. If you want to see the day after tomorrow, you always need to be on guard. If you want to live, you need to be strong. After all, Meteor City is an unforgiving place. People show no compassion for each other, it is a place where no signs of humanity can be found. Morals be damned, only the strong will live while the rest dies, never to be seen nor to be remembered.

Upon seeing the chain user, she instantly knew his weakness; his self consuming rage. Pakunoda has seen this type of rage before, in fact, she has seen people fully succumbed themselves over it. She knows that this hatred won't do Kurapika any good.

It slowly consumes the person's unfortunate soul until they are nothing more than a killing machine, a former shell of who are they used to be, void and incapable of feeling anything other than the vengeance that fuels them.

She pities the Kurta but this is reality, this was her fate. She already decided to save their Danchou. There's no turning back.

It's for the better good, she tells herself as she shakes her head in a weak manner, now's not the time to show any vulnerability. She has to do this.

The troupe is nowhere near ready to lose Kuroro, at least not for now.

Sure, Kurapika was indeed very intelligent but even him can mistakes, a big shame really. He should've been more careful. He should've been more aware.

It's too late now, she sighs.

"I'm calling the deal off." Pakunoda shouts, voice uncaring as she looks at Kuroro. Breathe, calm down.

Don't be obvious.

In and out.

In and out.

You've done this before, you can certainly do it again. Remember, do this for the troupe.

Be natural. The more blunt you are, the more it will tick him off.

He cares too much for his own good, it doesn't take a genius to figure out that the blonde geniunely wants the best for his friends. He doesn't want to lose them, not now. never.

"You think I was stupid enough to give  in your every demand? Don't make me laugh, since you'll kill Dainchou I guess it is only fair to kill these two as well." She calmly states, smiling as she sees Kurapika's sudden change of mood.

'That was fast'

Without wasting even a second, Pakunoda hits Gon's shoulder. The younger boy tried to dodge the nen filled attack but she was too fast and he was too late. He fully embraced the impact, screaming as he heard his bones crack.

Killua tried to kick Pakunoda but he too, suffered the same fate as well. They still have so much to learn, there's more room for improvement.

Killua is used to this, it was one of the hellish trainings he had to endure while he was still an assassin but oddly enough, the attack feels somewhat different and that honestly scares him.

He couldn't win against her, ah that's why.

He slowly backed down, he was genuinely afraid. Killua knows what the troupe is capable of but it seems like he underestimated them..

'Run' He heard an unfamiliar voice inside his head.

He didn't know what to do and so, he did what the voice told him too.

The albino felt ashamed by leaving  everyone behind, he felt ashamed to be called Gon's friend.

Honestly speaking, they really should consider the fights they participate in, they should stop being reckless when they obviously lack in experience.

"STOP, WAIT!" He shouted, anger consuming him.

But even still, he knows that he was too late, that his actions were futile at this point. Kurapika knew that Pakunoda won. He should've been careful, why did he hesitate? Why did he -

The Kurta undeniably got caught in Pakunoda's webs, like the spider she truly was. Kurapika clenched his fist in pure desperation, his pride couldn't swallow the failure he was experiencing right now.

But worse of all, he couldn't move. He was paralyzed in shock, feet were somehow glued to the ground. His gaze never leaving Kuroro as the spider had managed to free himself from his 'Chain Jail'.

A shame, really. He's the one that got tricked in the end. Still, all he could do was let out a sigh, a tired one in fact. Kurapika closed his porcelain hazel eyes, clearly exhausted. He could hear his friends' voices, shouting and calling for him, yet it was already too late. His consciousness seems to slip elsewhere.

He knows that he should wake up but it was obvious that he pushed himself beyond his limits. He can't move. Oh gods, is this really the end?

___________

When the Kuruta woke up, all he could see was darkness. He knew that he was in an unfamiliar place, perhaps this is the Phantom Troupe's base? He wondered.

He bit his lip in frustration, why is he still alive?

Perhaps they are planning to torture the me once I wake up? That's the most logical answer that the Kurta can think of right now..

Despite his fuzzy state, he instantly knew that he needed to escape, fast. The spiders can wait, he needs to make sure that Gon and Killua are all right!

Kurapika tried to move, but something kept him in-place that easily caused the blonde to feel rather uncomfortable. Only realizing it was chains all along. Cold, and dark chains whom he used as his own weapon. Quite Ironic isn't it? The weapon he used to eradicate the Phantom Troupe was now the one who held him captive. (Not really- but sort of). And he hated it, he really does. He tried to wiggle out but stopped soon afterward. Of course, he knew it was definitely impossible since the said chains were really positioned tightly. But nonetheless, he still tried to.

A few mere attempts later. The door in front him opened, creaking as it does. Upon its opening, he immediately saw the Spider Head. Eyes were somewhat void of any emotion as the older male went closer to his newly found 'pet'

"What do you want from me? You could've just killed me you know?" Kurapika spat, voice filled with venom. Eyes were glaring at the raven-haired male.

"That would be a waste wouldn't it?" Finally, Kuroro replied. Hands touching the blonde's pale yet delicate cheek. He couldn't help but chuckle at the Kuruta's fragileness and vulnerable state.

"I really wanted you to join the Spiders, Kurapika." He said, before sighing. He inspected the blonde's adorable features, smirking before he felt the need to continue his sentence. "But with your persistent nature, I know that would be very unlikely. But don't fret, that's why I'm here. I'll make sure you'll join us. Even if it costs an arm or two"

"I will not join you!!" He responded eyes were scarlet at this point. His usually calm composure was slowly slipping out as he shouted, flying seemingly empty threats at Kuroro who was just looking as calm as ever.

"Too late for that, darling. Just be obedient and maybe I'll be more gentle"
Kuroro's tone was undeniably uncaring and intimidating.

All could be heard from a certain distance was just faint screams. Nothing more and nothing else.

And he will make sure he'll spend his eternity with his butterfly. His delicate and beautiful butterfly, Forever locked and trapped on his prison-like web. His web, as it supposed to him showing his never-ending love.
