"Just shut up! I can't think with you all talking at once!" I was screaming at the top of my lungs. No way was I going to let one of my personalities get free while I wanted to just relax. The others tried to argue but, being the dominant personality, I was able to convince them to settle down. I opened my eyes to see my room with its dark red walls and white door and closet. The TV on the opposite wall of my bed and my dresser and the xbox next to it. Yea, I know, a girl really should be more about being preppy and not play video games but I wasn't like that. I was a tomboy, not a spoiled brat who screamed whenever she didn't get the right color car for her birthday. Please. If the car was functional and didn't screw up all the time and had a nice paint job, who cares what color the car is? As long as it wasn't anything too bright. I got off of my bed and went into the hall. I walked over to my brother's room and knocked on the door. It quickly opened and a grumpy Ashton was staring at me with his sky blue eyes and red hair that stood out no matter where we were. He was the closest thing I had to family other than my mom. Forget my step-dad. "What do you want Marcy?" He called me by my nickname. My full name was Marceline Abree Daniels. It fitted me since my initials were mad. That's how I felt sometimes. My brother's was Ashton Andrew Daniels. Initials aad. Weird. I looked at him with a sad expression and he immediately softened his face. "You had another fight didn't you?" I nodded slowly and he motioned me into his room. His filthy, cluttered, clothes everywhere room. He has a closet so why not use the damn thing? If only the builders knew who would be getting this room I don't think they would have added it into the blueprints. His walls were an ocean blue and his doors were also white. His bed was near the wall opposite to the door with his TV near the wall that was part of my room. His dresser was next to his bed. I sat on his bed and he sat next to me and hugged me. He was rubbing my back and rocking me a bit. He knew about my multiple personalities and knew I always got scared every time I fought with them. Let me tell you how this all started. I was born with black eyes and black hair that went to my waist. My 17 year old brother was born first. Duh. Anyway, I wasn't born with my 4 other personalities. They just appeared over time. The first one to appear was Callie, my cheerful personality. She appeared when I was so happy about my first birthday that it overflowed in me and created her to contain it. Impossible you say? Tell that to the always smiling idiot in my head. The next one to appear was my smart personality, Audrey. She was born when I was trying to cram for a math test in first grade and couldn't retain all the information. When she gets out, I end up saying things even I don't know what they mean. When I finally get my body back, the people who she ends up talking to always look at me, dumbfounded. I just come up with a simpler answer for what she said and run off. The third was my athletic personality, Danice. She was created when I was in gym class in second grade. We were doing mile runs and when my legs began to feel like jelly, she took over and lapped everyone at least twice. They all looked at me and I just told them I used stored energy. And last but not least my violent personality, Evalynn. The E name for easily tempered. She appeared on the most awful day of my life. I was on my way home with my dad in the car when we stopped at a red light. A guy with a gun suddenly bashed in the window on my dad's side and pulled my dad out of the car after opening the door. I had covered my eyes but heard my dad's screams and a gunfire. I was scared yet at the same time angry. Why did he have to show up? Why us? Why?! Evalynn was created from all of that anger and attacked the guy. She beat him into a twitching pile of bloody meat. Not bad for a little kid right? I looked at the guy after I got my body back then looked at my father. I was horrified by the sight of my dad lying in a pool of blood on the pavement. He was shot twice in the chest by the looks of it. I began crying as the sirens wailed in the distance. I heard someone had called after seeing the whole thing. My mother cried for weeks and then she met Bobby, my ass of a step-dad. I hated him the moment I met him. Ashton didn't like him that much either. Mom tried to convince us it was for the best so we would fake a smile when he was with us just to make mom happy. Sure he's a nice guy when she's around but thinks we're his servants when she's out of the room or house. School isn't a getaway from him either. I have no friends since everyone thinks I'm weird. Ashton was the only one who knew my secret. He didn't believe me at first but when Evalynn broke a few of his bones after he made me fall down on the driveway, he was convinced. He would help me whenever they wanted out. I'm 15 years old now. And that's my multiple personality life.
