[Menma]I wake up earlier than mom today.
The sun ray shined into our bedroom, it lit up the room, that reveals the specks of dust in this room.
I looked at mom, he slept soundly, his body a little crooked, maybe he was a little cold. The blanket only hid mom's feet. I straighten myself and grabbed the blanket, pulling the blanket up to mom's shoulder. He looks more in ease now.
I looked around and Kura came upstairs releasing I was awake. She immediately jumped onto me and started yipping. I smiled and carried her downstairs. I didn't want to disturb mom from his sleep, he needs it.
"Kura! Lets make breakfast for mommy!" I whispered. I always study mom in the kitchen, whenever he makes breakfast, lunch and dinner, so I know how to make them!
Kura started to whimper and shake her head. I got this feeling she's telling me not to do it.
I sighed. Maybe it's better if I listen to her, if destroy the kitchen, I'll get an earful of mom's lecture. I thought of what to do and the only thing coming to mind is to clean the house, and the shrine.
_____"Ahh!!" I shouted, as I layed onto the floor, extremely exhausted and tired. The house looks spotless to me, now the only thing left to clean is the shrine. I stood up from the floor and got ready a bucket of water and a towel.
Suddenly the door knocked. I turned to see Tsunade ba-chan with at the window. I smiled and open the door happily as I hugged her.
"Woah! Your up early and about! Why are you sweating?" She smiled as she bend down to my heights. She gave me a bag, in it is a delicious pack of puff cream bread and a fox doll!
"I'm helping mom! He's asleep right now though, so I want to clean the house." I smiled.
"Aren't you a mature little boy." She chuckled and patted my head. "Well I'll be here then, how about I sit in the living room and take care of Kura while you take a warm bath?"
"Sure! But I need to clean the Shrine in the backyard first."
She stared at me and smiled. "You know there is a way to clean the shrine. Its really rude if you clean the shrine with a bucket of water and a towel." She said pointing at the bucket in the kitchen that was filled with water. "Come on.
I'll teach you."
_____"And there." Tsunade ba-chan wiped the little specks of dust in the shrine. I smiled a little, now knowing how to clean up this little shrine. "Now you do it."
I nodded enthusiastically and tookthe towel from her, starting to wipe the shrine gently. She smiled as she went ahead and sit on the bench beside the shrine.
"You know...
This shrine belongs to a very close family of ours...
Sasuke usually calls her your grandmother..
But to us, she was our close and most beloved friend."
"Isn't this mom's mommy?" I said staring at her.
"You call me grandma, but I'm not Sasuke's mom ain't I?" Tsunade chuckled. "She's more like a mother figure, a mentor, to your mother."
I looked at the shrine and nodded. The door suddenly knocks again. I stand up but Tsunade ba-chan stood up instead and assured me she will check on it.
