„Can’t you please please pleeaase come with us. It won’t be any fun without you. “ Kaitlyn pleaded.

“I can’t, you know that. My parents won’t allow it. I still have a class trip this year. And they don’t understand why they have to pay 700 dollars for two weeks of Italy. They say we won’t even see Italy so why would it cost so much? I mean, yeah, seven hundred is a lot, but still!”

Kaitlyn pouted and brushed a strand of light brown hair out of her eyes.

“We are going to go sightseeing! Of course, we will be going to swim a lot, but we’re also going sightseeing. And I mean its Italy! And anyways, it’s absolutely unfair that your sister is allowed to go and spend freaking three thousand dollars in a time span of four months and is currently flying around the world and you aren’t even allowed to go outside the country one single time. It’s just plain unfair.”

“I know. But that’s my parents logic. Don’t ask me.”

“Can’t you like, try to get them to change their mind again? It would be soo much nicer with you. It’s unfair.”

I sighed.

It was true what Kaitlyn was saying. ‘Princess’ Margret was allowed to go any where she liked, and spend as much money as she liked, but when it came to me, everything got set on a strict schedule. It sucked. Why was Margret allowed to go away for four months and visit different countries like Spain, France Germany and Norway, while I wasn’t even allowed to go to Italy for two weeks with my swim group? (Ok, ex-swim group, I changed to the three-times-a-week-group, because I was just too lazy to too go swimming five times a week. And besides, what about school? Yeah.) Of course, we wouldn’t be seeing too much of Italy. We where, actually, going there to train, not to lounge around (although I wouldn’t have anything against doing that).

We would be training two times a day, on four days (per week) we would be training three times. It would be pure bliss and oh no, certainly not the two most happy weeks of my life, right mum and dad, you're totally right– if I was to be allowed to go. Which I wasn’t. Well, the thing I was mostly looking forward too is being there with the girls. Without them, this whole trip would most probably turn into a nightmare. Thank god all of them are going, well except me of course. I always forgot that part.

“It’s just so.. argh! Hey, Aska, can you give me any synonyms for unfair? Or else I’m going to say it again. And I repeated that word enough already today.”

I tore through my hair, ripping knots of hair out in the process. I promised it that I would give it a generous hair-coir at home. Yeah right. In like, a million years or something.

“What about unjust? Or treated unevenly?” I said absentmindedly, focusing on an especially big knot.

I sighed inwardly, preparing myself for the pain and ripped through it with my hairbrush.

“Ow!” I howled earning a reproachful stare from Kait.

“Serves you right, abusing your hair that way.” She said. “ So, exactly, I’ll take ‘treated unevenly’. It’s so unjust that they treat you guys unevenly.”

She stuffed her swimsuit into her bag before turning around with a smug expression on her face. “Ha! See what I did there? I used both of your examples.” She grinned at me rolling my eyes.

”So, you’ll ask?” she pleaded.

“Yeah okay. Just let me finish..with..this...ow!”

“I have an idea!” Kait suddenly squealed, ignoring my painful gasps while tearing my hair apart.
