M:W-W-what?
K:I'm so sorry.
M:No no no no
K:Was she a good friend?
M:She was. Don't worry kendall. My mom is contacting the police right now. Is anyone else alive?
K:Just me and my mom.
M:Okay, stay on the phone with me until they arrive.
K:Okay
M:Where do you live?
K:In england.
M:How old are you?

M:What school do you go to?
K:Blacen high school.
M:Okay, there should be a plane with an officer in it.
K:I see it!
M:Great. I'm gonna hang up the phone. You can keep the phone.

Tears started pouring out of my eyes like a water fall. I ran downstairs to mom.

J:Baby! What happened!?
M:Kate's dead! She got crushed under the plane.
J:Oh sweety. It's gonna be alright.
M:No it's not mom.
O:What happened
Mom told dad everything.
O:I'm so sorry baby!
Blake came downstairs.
B:I heard everything, I'm so sorry sis.
M:I better go call Logan and tell him.
J:Okay

I went upstairs and called Logan, still crying.

L:May? Why are you crying?
M:Kate's plane crashed. She got crushed and died.
L:Oh my god
M:She called me screaming and crying. The plane crashed while we were on the phone.
M:Hold on, I'm coming over.

A few moments later, a heard a knock on the door. Mom answered and let Logan come upstairs to my room. He came over a hugged me tight.

L:I can't believe this happened
M:I just got her back Logan
L:I know
M:She was my bestie
L:Was she on the phone when she died.
M:Yeah
L:That must've been horrible for you.
M:She was screaming and I started crying, I didn't know how to help. I've never heard her scream like that before.
L:Did the call record?
M:Yeah
L:Can I hear it?
M:Sure
Logan listened to the phone call right before kate crashed.
L:Oh god. That's horrible.
M:I know. I heard her last words before the plane crashed
L:I'm so sorry you had to go through that.
M:I can't get her screams out of my head.
L:I don't blame you
M:I'm scared that you'll be gone next
L:I'm right here. Im not going anywhere.
M:You should go home. I don't want to make your mom mad.
L:I'll see you at school.

I went down to eat dinner. Again, I didn't eat. Mom didn't ask why this time. I went to bed still soaked with tears. I heard my door open. Blake came in and sat next to me on my bed.

B:You okay?
M:What do you think? I was on a phone with my best friend the exact moment she died.
B:Mom said you can stay home tomorrow. To get your mind straight.
M:Okay,
B:Why didn't you tell mom?
M:Tell her what?
B:That I punched your eye
M:If mom found out, you wouldn't be able to do football. I know that's what you really want.
B:Your a great sister. And a great friend. You didn't deserve this.
M:I just wanna go to sleep

I went to sleep. I didn't go to school though. When Logan saw i wasn't there, he got worried.

L:Where are you?
M:I had to clear my head.
L:Not any better?
M:No.
L:Im sorry
M:Its not your fault.
L:I'm come over later.
M:Okay.

I didn't want to be in my bed anymore, so, I walked to the chair in the corner of my room. I sat there looking through photos of me and kate. Her funeral is next week. Her dad wants me to Be the guest of honor. It's for kate and her mom. Her dad wasn't flying to America until later that day. When he heard about the plane crash, he decided to stay in England. Mom walked in and saw me looking at the photos. She just hugged me and walked out. Before i knew it, it was funeral day. Me and Logan were the guests of honor. We got to the funeral home and me and Logan had 2 special chairs in the front right next to Kate's dad. I cried so much at the funeral. I walked up to Kate's casket. It was closed. I touched the casket. I felt a burst of energy come through me. After the funeral, I went home and got ready for the next day at school. It was going to be my first day back since Kate died. I woke up and I didn't bother to eat. I went to the bus stop. By now, all the kids heard about Kate's plane crash. They were all trying to comfort me and tell me it'll be okay. It felt like school dragged on for years. Finally, track practice came up. The couch, mrs. Johnson, was telling us Bout the next run

Mj:Alright girls and boys, first, I would like to welcome back may. As you may know, she spent a few weeks off, due to Kate's accident. But, she is back and ready to work hard. So, our next run is a cancer awareness run. We race other teams and raise money for cancer. You all know how races work. But, I would like to put may as our last runner so she can bring it home for us. Is that okay may?
M:Yeah
Mj:Okay, let's get practicing.

We practiced running for the next hour or so. Then, we got some free time. I talked to Logan the whole time.

M:I'm still upset, but, this is making me feel better.
L:I don't blame you for still being upset.
M:Your such a good friend logan.
L:Actaully, I wanted to ask you a question.
M:Go for it.
L:Hold on
He ran around the corner and came back with flowers.
M:What's happening?
