What Happened to Noelle?

"Leffin, wake up," I hissed. She was going to be late for rehearsal and Nigel would kill her. And he was a lot stricter than Blake.

"How long was I out?" she muttered.

"All night?" I said, what kind of question was that? "You're going to be late. Nigel...."

Sestiva slipped on a cloak, some shoes and ran off, yelling, "Now you're late!"

I grinned. I had been here for five years and knew every passageway in the school. Sestiva had to go through the conventional halls. My way was ten minutes shorter.

However, Sestiva ran and I walked. I was still there five minutes before her. She was two minutes late, lucky for her Nigel was focusing on Alan Coleman, who was being really timid when he was supposed to be loud and annoying playing as Draco Malfoy.

And the fact that Noelle and I refused to be on the same stage.

"Noelle, just get offstage. Please. I need Thalia."

"You mean HERMIONE," Noelle sneered.

"And now you have a total of five detentions," said an assistant director, Hayley Madison. "You are SO lucky I'm not the director or I would have kicked you out."

"Thank you for that, Hayley. I won't kick her out now. Lavender has few lines, thank you Bennett." he said to the writer. "For this rehearsal, however, Noelle can help the crew. You will not be acting until you can act civilly to Thalia."

"But-"

"Thalia is the lead female. You have one or two lines. Thalia wins. It's possible to behave civilly. Look at Sestiva and Payton, they're getting alone. Although it would help if a certain someone would actually SHOW UP TO THE DETENTION, SESTIVA."

There was a brief period of silence and then the practice went smoothly, by the end Nigel was actually smiling.

Kanani, Nigel and I were at lunch and they looked like they didn't know what I was.

"What's up?" Nigel finally asked.

"I dunno. With Noelle? She's a traitor. Never would have thought she would but people can have secrets." I said.

"That's not the same Noelle as last year." Kanani said.

"People can change for the worst." I said.

"But she was fine when we were at her house over the summer holidays!"

"Kanani, it happens. Live with it." I said though it did seem unusual. She was Noelle. Little, innocent Noelle who always drew during lunch in second year. Who panicked when she remembered there was a test. Who always made Kanani do her homework well. Who always told me when my muggle clothes didn't match. It wasn't Noelle.

So, do you think Noelle changed? Found out something about Thalia's mother? She befriended Sonja? She thought the evil side had something she wanted? Or the imperius curse?
