Alyss' POV

Harry didn't even know we were there yet and I had no plan to tell him. Teddy was going to but I had a feeling he'd get caught up in a battle before he could make it there. Hermione would know we were there.

Tom and I proceded to where we thought he was and we arrived just in time to hear all the proof we needed that Sonja Triston (Ron had told us) was no longer loyal to Vol. But we weren't ready for him to grab her and have her fall through the floor.

"Alyss, go get her." Tom ordered.

"No! I'm not leaving you."

"I can do it."

"I don't think he's going to take the whole you're-my-son-join-me line again."

"It doesn't matter."

"It DOES, you -"

"Are you Alyss Patil?" asked one of the kids around us.

"Well, I'm not Hermione if that was your second guess. Nor am I anyone else. YES, I'M ALYSS," I snapped.

"Who's next?" Vol asked carefully twisting his wand in his hands, "one at a time now, I'm sure you'll all get a turn."

"Me." Tom said stepping forward and drawing his wand.

"Why don't I kill your Alyss first?"

"You can duel us together but I won't die."

"One at a time, Miss Mudblood." he sneered.

"Alyss, go."

"No.

"Just stay out of it."

A jet of red light flew out of Vol's wand and I immediatly leaped toward Tom and pushed him down.

"Stop arguing and fight, son."

"I'm not your son," Tom snapped.

"You are," Vol said and I finally realized that the entire room was silent, watching us.

"Stupify." Tom hissed.

I was about to jump forward and help him when a hand grabbed me. I turned to snap at them but it was Thalia.

"Leave him, Mom, he can do it. Just let him focus."

"Fine, Thalia. Follow me now. We need to get Sonja Triston."

I bustled out of the room, following Thalia whom I had told to get me directly downstairs.

"Alyss, what are you doing?" asked a strange, blonde Teddy.

"Getting Triston. Tom's dueling him. Help him. Did you tell Harry?"

"Yeah. I got it, I don't know why you're concerned with Triston but I'd go quickly. I think he came for her not Thalia."

"Mom?"

"Go, Teddy, is Evelin?"

"She's looking for Nigel. We can't find him."

"Thalia, GO."
