Sacrifice

Curse the internet, I had typed out this entire chapter and it deleted it. I swear, if I was a loud person I would have screamed. It was a nice, long chapter, too, not like the teases. It was sooo, annoying. Let's just hope I remember it all!

CAUTION: If you don't remember who Ebony, Mike, Ben or Julliette are I recomend going back to the begining of this book. If you're one of those people who would never do that, Ben, 15,  and Julliette,12, are Teddy and Victoire's kids and Ebony and Mike are Thalia's twin brother and sister, both sixteen.

Ebony's POV

I was walking with Ben and Mike and Julliette was tagging along. We were supposed to be looking for her friends but she was paying more attention to her nails so we really weren't. Mike was looking unbelievably bored and I was lecturing Ben about his OWLs.

"They're really important, Ben, if you don't pass, not only will you have to stay back but it will be on your permenate record. And OWLs dictate what kind of jobs you'll be able to have when you get out of school which of course you'll need. Which means that at some point you'll need to study and you'd really better get going before you start panicing because you didn't realize how close the exams were," I said.

"Hey, Eb, do us all a favor and shut up," Mike said.

"Well, Michael, my way obviously worked because I was at the top of our class and I didn't see any Os on your scores! You only got two Es and I got all Os and two Es!"

"Ebony, do you think my nail color goes with my eyes?" Julliette said pulling me back. I shot Ben and Mike a look that said clearly, I am not done with you.

"Er, I've never really been that color coordinated...." I stammered.

"But, Ebony," she pouted. "you're so smart, you must know, please, tell me honestly."

"I looked down at her bright blue nails and her light blue eyes and shrugged. "I really couldn't tell you, Julliette."

"You're no help," she snapped.

I hurried to catch up with Ben and Mike again when Julliette screamed. Oh, no, please don't say she broke a nail, I silently prayed. We would never hear the end of it.

"What is it, Julliette," Ben asked quietly, not turning.

"EBONY, WATCH OUT!" she yelled and I turned to see two people on broomsticks, one grabbing me and the other grabbing Mike.

What was happing?

Alyss POV

The doors in the corner of the room flew open and a quiet male voice spoke.

"Um, er, Mrs. Patil, there are, er, three people they took prisoners, Payton, he goes to school here and, er, two other kids, twins, I think, Ebony and Michael? I think."

"Teddy, come on, I really hope I can trust you Sonja, I don't know excatly what you had with Tom, but please just keep him safe. I don't care how, but do it. I beg you."

"Alyss..." Tom began.

"You can't walk, you idiot, Teddy and I can do it." I said and ran to the boy, "show me," I said.

Thalia's POV

"Leave them alone!" I said sheilding Evelin and Nigel.

One of the people took aim at me but quickly another one pulled his wand away.

"We can't kill her, she's the master's grandchild. The oldest one. He wants her alive, for leverage, take her, but be careful, she can't have a scratch on her.

"No, Thalia, I can't let you!" Nigel said.

"They won't hurt me, didn't you hear? Run, while you can. I'll distract them. They can't hurt me. And they can't lose me, please, Nigel, there's no way for me to make it, just get someone. Tell them what happened." I said. Wow, my grandfather was evil, Matt's parents were and Evelin's as well? My mum really had a knack for chosing friends with evil parents.

Was this what the battle of Hogwarts had been like? Or worse?

How on Earth were we supposed to get out of this?

I looked at Nigel and Evelin and took off.
