See, we say that the most giving people in the world, are those like that of a Buddhist monk. But see, everything is due to a selfish desire and let me explain why. To want to achieve any goal is selfish, because behind it, there is a motivation driving the goal to be completed. Buddhist, while seen the most giving, are still selfish as they want to ascertain a goal. Environmentalist, more often than not, are driven by the desire to achieve, either a level of condescending nature where they can simply state something to someone about what they are doing to the environment, or so they can feel better about THEMSELVES because they are helping to reduce the destruction of our planet. Those who are truly passionate about their jobs, are driven by the selfish desire of passion. In our society, we see those who are giving, as those who aren't selfish. Those who help others with their problems as kind, as selfless even. But, like achieving the level of God or perhaps a level of pure devotion to a God, it is impossible. Society may govern these people as giving souls, but just because the goal is not material, does not mean it does not exist. I'm not saying people aren't kind, this is not to target that. However, I am saying that people are all selfish regardless of their goal. People are kind to fuel their own happy desire to feel good about themselves. Everyone wants to subconsciously feel better about themselves at the end of the day. If you believe in God, let's say the Christian version, then regardless, you are acting on the selfish whim, to better improve yourself so you can get the goodie at the end of the line that leads you to heaven. If you are a strict Christian, you will never admit it to yourself, but in all reality that is the truth. Because doing something good makes YOU specifically feel good, you will continue to do it. This is to target all religions, although this religion is the strongest in where I live here in the U.S.A. The whole reason of me stating this, is to show you something. No matter what you do, you will have a selfish nature about you. That is a key element in your life that you should never forget. However, the point of writing this is to explain that you should enjoy a selfish nature. Granted depending on the type of selfish you are will describe your Karma that will come about you, but you should enjoy your selfish nature nevertheless.
