After settling down in newly designated room, I took a shower and got dressed. I turned my laptop on and found that my email was spamed with emails form my mom, dad, and other "friends I never hangout with". I wrote a short email explaining my departure.
To whom it may concern,
I have left with Jasper and I won't be coming back so soon. I have not been kidnapped, so don't look for me, really. I have been friends with him since the 2nd grade, so I hope all of you understand.
Thank you for your emails, but I can't come home. Not now when Jasper needs me most
Sincerely,
Samara
I sent the email to all the people that emailed me. I didn't want to drag it out to long.
Afterwards, I wandered around the huge house Jake seemed to live in alone. I came upon the kitchen, where Jake was making sandwiches.
"Oh, hi Sam," he said
"Hi,"
"I was making sandwiches for you guys, so, here" he handed me a paper plate with two PB+Js on it.
"Oh, thanks," truth was, I was starving.
We went up to Jaspers' new room, he was putting his small amount of clothes in the dresser. Jasper and Jake layed on the bed while I pulled up a chair next to Jasper. We turned the TV on and watched re-runs of Sesame Street, which we were fine with. I never really watched TV so I didn't care what we would watch. All I remember before falling asleep was the sound of Elmos' high pitched voice talking to toddlers.
LATER
I woke up being carried to my room, by Jake.
"Oh, hey, you're awake," he said, but didn't put me down.
I nodded smally
He layed me in my bed, covering me up with the abundance of blankets he seemed to have. It seemed normal to sleep here, like I have lived here forever. There was a clock in the room, ticking to the sound of my inhales, tocking to the sound of my exhales.
MORNING
I woke up normally, eyes closed, rolling over to my back. Except, I couldn't roll over. I opened my eyes and Jasper was on the other side of the bed. I groaned loud enough to wake Jasper up, and he did.
"Jasper," I said
"I couldn't sleep well,"
"Well, don't sleep here to tonight without my permission," I said
"'Kay," he said, rolling over facing his back to me.
I went downstairs and realized Jake was still sleeping. So I got some ingredients out to make pancakes. 30 minutes later, perfect timing, the pankcakes were done and the boys were up. We got our food and went to sit. It was a hot day for July, almost 100 degrees (Farinhiet).
After we ate, Jake insisted on cleaning up, so I let him. I went to my room to read for a while, but around noon Jasper said to get ruined clothes on, but I was confused.
"Ones you don't care if they are destroyed," he said winking.
"Um, okay?" I said.
I got a tie-dye tanktop and short jeans on. I walked into the kitchen and found the guys in shorts and sandles. They had a wagon with food, a blanket, sunscreen, and water toys. We were going to the lake!
"REALLY!" I said excitedly.
"YES!" Jasper said running towards me, picking me up, and almost throwing me in the wagon.
"Ouch, dude, calm down," I said, rubbing my legs.
"Sorry! Too excited!" he said.
We (as in we I mean Jasper and Jake) walked to the lake, and Jasper wasn't kidding, it was about 5 minutes to get there. Jake let go of the wagon handle and started pushing me as we hit the edge of the sand. I squealed with excitement.
"Jake! Slow down!" I said, giggling.
Jake tripped over his sandles and toppled head over heels. I tipped over and got covered in sand. Jake ran to me, he was also covered in sand.
"You okay?" he said, helping me up.
"Yea, I am, totally fine." I said, giggling.
Jas ran to me and picked me up again, but not to throw me in the wagon. In the lake. I screamed and kicked, not wanting to be thrown in, but I got soaked with the icey water. I shoved Jasper and he landed face first in the water.
After playing for a while, I put on sunscreen and layed on the blanket, feeling the sun rays beat down on my skin.
I layed there listening to the waves and music that came from the speaker Jake brought. I listen to the waves, mostly, trying to relax.
