__________________________________Madison's cheeks filled with redness as the crinkling from her nappy could be heard as Liam walked through the hall. Tears still welled in her eyes from the previous events and she had to sniff every few seconds to keep her nose from running. The morning sun was peeking through the curtains and all Madison wished to do was sleep and pretend everything was just a dream.
"Please let me walk," Madison whimpered, her voice whined after the previous events.
Liam took a moment to look at the small child's face. She looked absolutely pitiful with pouted lips and slightly red eyes and nose from crying. He coo'ed at her, placing a feathery kiss to her head.
"I'm sorry, sweetie. But we don't want you tripping and hurting yourself, do we?"
Madison huffed at the older mans words and clung tightly around him as he descended down the stairs. She took time to look around at the decor in the house. The only other times she had been in these rooms was when she first arrived and ran away. Both moments her mind was far too flustered and stressed to remember. The only thing that did seem familiar was the size. She wondered what the two men's jobs were as the whole house itself was bigger than she had ever seen.
"How does oatmeal sound, babygirl?"
Madison's eyes shifted to Zayn as they walked into the kitchen. He had a gentle smile on his face as he waited for her answer. Madison stuttered for a moment before muttering a simple 'okay'. Liam reminded the girl there was nothing to be afraid of and that she could speak up. The two men were slightly worried about the girl's nervous appearance. Anytime the attention was put on her, her anxiety seemed to raise rapidly. The daddies wanted to be able to communicate and love their baby without her being scared of saying something wrong or the fear of them hurting her.
"Alright," Liam said cheerfully, "Lets get you settled in."
He made his way over to one of the two highchairs placed next to the dining table. Madison had yet to see them, but once she did she figured that hers was the one adorned with soft pink, dainty flowers.
Once she realized where the man was taking her, she quickly protested."No, no, please don't make me sit in that! Please," Her hands clung to Liam and tears once more filled her eyes. She hated crying. It made her feel more like a child than she already did at the moment. But the thought of sitting in a high chair was just too much.
"Hey, hey, hey... shh, it's okay, love. There's nothing to be scared off. It's just a chair," Liam consoled the girl, moving to place her in the seat.
Madison squeezed tighter around his neck but nothing seemed to work. She didn't have very much muscle compared to the much, much, stronger and buffer man who was holding her. She began to flail her legs around, accidentally kicking the heel of her foot into Liam's ribs.
"Ouch!" Liam yelled out in pain, gripping his side.
Madison gasped, quickly realizing what she had done. Tears ran down her face. She was going to be in so much trouble.
"Li! Are you okay?" Zayn rushed to the aid of his husband making sure he was alright.
"M'sorry! It was an accident," the frail child whimpered an apology. She didn't want to get in trouble for her actions.
"I'm alright.. But this is why we do not kick or hit, okay? You know it's not nice," Liam lectured the girl, taking one last breath to ease the pain.
