EDDIE WOKE UP AND HE FELT OKAY FOR A MINUTE. but then remembered what would happen today.
richie was going to ask out beverly.
he got on of bed unwilling and got ready for school. although today, eddie had breakfast and thankfully his mother was still asleep so she couldn't say anything to him. after he finished his breakfast he rushed out of his house and hopped onto his bike, going to school.
although when he got there he saw something he wished he never saw.
he saw beverly kissing richie. and to his dismay, richie was kissing back. eddie's heart shattered. he was in pure shock. he thought beverly wouldn't do that. she knew that eddie liked him and yet she chose to date richie.
eddie's eyes started to tear up and he was tempted to ditch school. But he knew, he couldn't let it bother him so he wiped his tears with the back of his hand and put his bike onto the bike rack, where richie and beverly were. eddie just gave them a wave and went off to find bill.
after about five minutes of looking for bill, he finally found him. eddie's eyes looked lightly red due to the tears and bill noticed. he pulled eddie in for a hug and asked him what was going on.
'beverly and richie are going out, and they kissed.' eddie said, his voice cracking.
bill got pissed. beverly knew that eddie liked richie but she still went out with him anyways.
'hey e-ed-eddie, h-he doesn't deserve you.' bill said.
but eddie thought that he wasn't good enough.
'hey e-ed-eddie, if y-you want, w-we can s-skip s-school.' bill suggested.
eddie had never ditched school but, why not now. he didn't want to watch richie and beverly flirt non-stop.
'yeah, sure why not?' edie said.
'just let me a-ask if s-st-stan w-wants to come w-with us.' bill said, running off to find stan.
eddie laughed at bill, and at how lovesick he is for stan.
eddie wished that him and richie could be together but, of course beverly had to take him away from eddie.
then someone tapped him on his back. eddie rolled his eyes before turning around to look at the person behind him.
'what do you want?' eddie asked coldly.
'damn eds, i was just telling you that me and beverly are going out!' richie said. eddie could of cared less, but it was richie.
'well congrats richie, why don't you go hang out with your girlfriend.' eddie said, sarcasm dripping in his words.
richie was taken back. he didn't know that eddie would react to this badly.
'what's up your ass kasprak?' richie asked.
thankfully he saw bill and stan coming up to him so eddie just replied with, 'don't worry about it tozier.'
eddie ran off to the boys and then they biked off to the quarry.
while they were biking stan asked the boys something.
'so, what made you guys even think about ditching school? i thought only richie did it but oh well.' stan said.
eddie felt pissed when stan mentioned his name. eddie swore that he wasn't going to cry over him anymore.
when they got to the quarry they didn't know what to do.
'maybe we could go swimming?' stan asked. eddie nodded his head and so did bill.
they stripped down to their underwear and jumped off the cliff into the water. eddie was last due to him being scared.
when they all got into the water they splashed each other, laughing. eddie and stan became better friends and stan kept on 'flirting' with bill. when stan flirted with bill the boy's cheeks went light pink.
after about two hours of being in the water they got out to have some lunch. they were laughing and having a great time. for once, eddie felt genuinely happy. not happy because of someone, just happy because of life. for eddie, that was pretty rare.
they hopped back into the water after finishing their lunches. after twenty minutes someone jumped into the water and tapped eddie's shoulder.
'why hello wheezy!'
