It was a dark and stormy night, we had a concert in three hours. Of course, Frank was no where to be found. Frank always did this before every show, running off, to go "clear" his mind. He's never actually gone this early. Frank has been somewhat distant lately, even with me. Frank usually would tell me everything. The more I thought about it, the more I worried. I grabbed a piece of paper and wrote a quick note for Mikey and Ray. They, of course, were sleeping. The note reads:
"Hey, Just Went For A Quick Walk. Be Back Soon. ~ Gee"
I left the note on the table, where one of them would surely find it. I got dressed and went outside. After a while the rain had slowed quite a bit. I had started to wander towards the woods, knowing it was Frank's go to place. I tried calling his cell a few times, but got no answer. It was pretty dark out, and I didn't even think to bring a flashlight with me. I kept walking, looking everywhere for Frank, for what seemed like hours. At this point the rain had picked up again. Maybe the rain caused Frank to head back to the bus. I was half tempted to call Mikey (Ray never answered his phone) and ask if Frank showed up, but I didn't want to worry them in case he hadn't. I checked the time and realized I had been searching for him for nearly an hour and a half. As I started to walk back, I heard someone say my name. "Gerard?" I turn around quickly to see where the voice had come from. "Hello?? Who's there?!?!" Frank slowly came out from behind a nearby tree, without saying a word. "Oh my God!! Frank!" I ran over and hugged him as tight as I could. I could tell he felt uncomfortable, and quickly let go. "I-I'm fine..." I could sense there was something really off about him. He never acts like this. I looked at him, only being able to make out the outline of his face. His body language is what told me something was bothering Frank. "Frankie, whats wrong?" I stepped closer slightly. Frank snapped at me and stepped back "Do I look five to you?!?! My name is Frank." He turned away. At this point I was thoroughly confused and slightly upset. Frank rarely ever snapped at me, especially for calling him "Frankie". I could tell, no matter what, he wasn't going to tell me what was bothering him. "Okay, "Frank"... It's getting close, why don't we start heading back to the bus" Frank sighed and just stood there, silently. I knew that no matter how bad I wanted to find a way to help him, he wouldn't allow it. I turned away and began walking back. I turned to see if Frank was still standing there. As I turned, Frank began walking behind me. I felt slightly happy that he decided to come back with me. It was a very long, very quiet walk back to the bus. As we got back to the bus, Frank's phone started to ring. I stopped and looked at him, just waiting to walk inside with him. "Go... I'll be in in a minute." He answered his phone and wandered slightly in the opposite direction. I go inside and begin getting ready for the concert. After about five minutes or so, I heard Frank come back inside. I had decided to just give Frank some space until after the show. Whatever was bothering him was sure to pass after the concert. All of us always felt better after shows. It was a way to get out all of our thoughts and negative energy out. I finished getting ready, not saying anything to Frank until it was time to leave. "Ready?" He didn't answer me and just walked out the door. At this point I was so fed up with the way he was treating me. I usually give Frank the space he needs, but I didn't do anything to deserve this treatment from him. I let Frank leave by himself, while I waited behind for Ray and Mikey.
