Chapter 18

The airport was crowded with at least a thousand screaming girls. They were everywhere around us and I tried my best to hide my face so that they won’t spread some rumours about me.

Ray was right next to me, smiling from under her Hoodie. “This is exciting”, she whispered. “I have never seen so many girls in one place. This is mad.” She took my hand and we tried our best to get out of the airport. Seven big cars were already placed in front of it so it was easy to get in it without being noticed. 

“We did it. And look, we have a whole van for us. I love Australia so far. What do you think Noel?” I looked out of the window. “It is beautiful. I never imagined coming to Australia. And Sydney is mad. I am just excited I guess.” 

She nod and put her arm around my shoulders. “You know you will make it. You’re so talented Noel, don’t be nervous or something like this. It will be awesome because you are awesome.” I started laughing but I was kind of depressed inside my head. Don’t ask me why but I guess it is because of Harry. I just don’t know what to do with him. On one side I may be in love with him but at the other side I don’t know how to handle it. I don’t know something about love and I definitely don’t know something about relationships. Harry is an expert. He had so many girlfriends that he just had to be one. Maybe I am not the right for him. Maybe he needs someone who can give him all the things he need.

“We arrived!! Look.” Ray was immediately out of the car and was also the first to enter the hotel. It was a huge building. Something I have never seen in my whole life before so I hurried out of the car and into the hotel. Ray was standing in the middle of the big lobby. Everything was apparelled with silver and gold and a huge candelabrum was hanging from the wall.

“Ray, are you okay? You’ve been staring at me for at least two minutes.” I started laughing and Ray shook her head. “Sorry, I am just really shocked. This is the most beautiful building I have ever seen in my life. Literally the best day of my life. Where are the boys? I need to hug them all and tell them that I love them and everything else. I am just so happy. Thank you Noel that you took me with you. You are the best friend in the entire world.” She started hugging me when someone tipped on my shoulder. I turned around and saw Harry in front of me. He had a smile on his face.

“Hey Harry.”

“Hi.”

I looked over to Ray who was trying to distant herself from us. I shook my head but she kept fleeing. 

“So, uhm, I wondered if we could talk a bit about everything.” He seemed to be a bit nervous because he was constantly playing with his hair which has gotten really long.

“Sure. Here or somewhere else?”

“Just follow me.”

Harry led me to the top of the building. I don’t know if we were allowed to be here but it didn’t matter. I wanted to know what he wanted to tell me or about what he wanted to talk. We came to the end of the building and sat on the border of the building. I have always been kind of dauntless so I wasn’t afraid or something. His expression told me that he was kind of scared of the height.  After a few seconds he turned his head away from the streets at the ground and looked at me. His green eyes were looking right at me. “So, I needed to talk to you… The song you sang to all of us. Why did you choose it? Do you really miss me because I can tell you that I am dying because I miss you so much. I need you Noel. I can’t live without you and I am hoping that you can’t live without me either.”

Somewhere I knew that he wanted to talk about the song. I could have guessed it but I never imagined that he would say the other things. I mean I do need him and I do miss him but I don’t know if I can be in a relationship with him. I mean I love him but he can have every other girl. Why me? I am nothing special. Just a normal girl from Germany who wanted to find her father.

“I don’t know why I chose it. I guess I wanted to let you know that I really miss you and that I need you.”

His eyes started to glow and his hand reached for my hand but I kept it by myself.

“What’s wrong?”

“I just don’t think that I can be in a relationship with you. You have so many experiences with this topic and I am completely new at this. I don’t know anything about love and I definitely don’t know something about relationships. You can have anyone Harry, why do you want me?”

He reached out for my hands and put his one hand on my chin.

“You may not know anything about love or about relationships but all I want, like, in this whole world, is to just be here with you. Near you. I don’t want to get under your clothes immediately. Not at all. I want to know where you want to eat, and I want to argue with you. I know it is not that simple. I just believe that if you are really willing to be with me, then we can figure out the rest. I love you Noel, I don’t need anyone except for you. You are my life, the reason I smile, and the reason to be.”

I don’t know what to say. My head is completely empty.

I am lost in his eyes and I don’t even notice that tears stream down my face.

All I know is that I am leaning into him until our lips are just inches away from another. “I am willing to be with you.”

His lips touch mine and for the first time I feel alive. I needed him like he needed me and now nobody can tear us apart. I won’t let this happen.

Not again.

It’s me guys. Hey, I know I haven’t updated the last few months and I am so sorry about this but my life was kind of a mess.
