Chapter Six
I was staying in my house in the middle of the forest, near the gate that leads out of the Seireitei. I have stayed here for a week now, meditating on the s-shaped necklace. There was a water fall nearby and I was taking a walk to get there.
When I reached the waterfalls, I leaped and landed on the bottom. There was a rock there and I sat and I was having a hard time balancing. It was pretty slippery.
I closed my eyes and looked inside my soul. If I can’t remember what happened, maybe my Zanpakuto can.
“Tetsuya, help me out.” I spoke to him.
“What would you like to know?” I wound up waking up in an alternate dimension. It was the representation of my soul. It was a clearing, in the middle of the forest with lots of flowers. It was very peaceful.
“I want to know the blank part of my memory.” I answered him. My Zanpakuto was a man wearing purple kimono.
“I cannot tell you something you already know. You have to start accepting things and the rest will follow. You will remember when you will finally accept the truth.”
“What is the truth?” I wondered.
“You cannot fool yourself Yukio.” I gasped when he called me the name of Kyohei’s ex-girlfriend.
“I’m Yukio? Why the hell didn’t that guy tell me the truth from the start?” I asked in frustration.
“Would you have believed him?”
“Probably not,” I admitted.
“Then your problem is solved.” He smiled and then everything vanished in thin air. I was surprised when I opened my eyes because Kyohei was there and so was my fairy godmother. She was holding an old man by the collar as he knelt in front of her.
I jumped off and ran towards them. “What is the meaning of this?” I hissed.
“This is the lead researcher of the Kinta Intelligence.” The woman answered. “I am going to execute him now. I just thought it would be better in front of you since he tortured you.”
“No, this is inhumane.” Kyohei interjected.
“You were with me back then weren’t you? And I’m the Yukio girl you were talking about.” I said coldly.
“Yes,”
“Well if that’s the case you must know that I am no longer the girl you fell in love with. I am now part of the most brutal squad in soul society. Need I remind you that we are no longer humans so we can do inhumane things, like this one,” I pulled out my sword, plunged it through the neck of the scientist that the woman held and then cut of his head. Well he was unconscious so it wasn’t so ugly.
“This is my kind of girl.” My fairy godmother said.
“Is this the Prince you were talking about?” I wondered.
“Apparently yes… I better get going and bring this body to cremation. Bye,” She suddenly disappeared in thin air.
A long moment of silence passed between us. I didn’t want to talk to him. I was scared. I am far too occupied right now for a relationship. Things would get really out of hand if I express the emotions I feel right now.
“You’re still the Yuki I know.” He smiled.
“No, I am not. I’ve changed.”
“Not the way I see it. So you killed the guy, so what? I don’t care. You killed far more people in front of me when we were escaping from the intelligence back then. You’re now a high ranking official, so what? You used to be the lieutenant of the 6th division squad anyway. Tell me what changed?”
