Why? He always sang that song to you at night while you guys. Cuddled. Or when you were sad. He always sang it before his tours, and would post tweets about it or keeks and insta videos of him singing the song to you, you would sing it back, or tweet lyrics back. You both lived for the song.

You both loved maroon 5, they were a comfort band. Everytime Mikey was upset, or in any negative mood- you'd sing it too him, and if you were in the same state he'd sing it too you.
You both would lie in eachothers arms and have the song on repeat.

Why?
You guys had always loved Jason Mraz. Had gone to a few concerts. But your all time favorite song was "I won't give up" because that's how you felt towards ash.
You would whisper the lyrics in his ear when. He sat in a corner or on the bed or in the bathroom huddled up sobs raking through his body. You would stroke his back, and sing the song over and over. Because you honestly would never give up on the love of your life.

You both had a liking for Ed Sheeran, luke is your best friend who your madly in love with. He made a cover of this on YouTube. And dedicated the song to you.
It was your favorite song, ed always sing it too you. Wether you were sad, tired, or bored he'd sing it.
He'd hold you tight in his arms and sing the soothing lyrics into your ear. He loved you the same way. And the only way he'd express it was through the song. Hoping you'd get it. And you did because cal told you. And you didn't know if cal had told him yet. But you'd been sure when you got to the front door, your best friend with a rose on your chair and a guitar in his hand singing your new favorite "kiss me by Ed Sheeran".
