I woke up in Lilyfeather's den. She was our medicine cat, and Eaglestar's sister. Everything hurt. Lilyfeather was looking at me "What-what happened?" I mewed fearfully. "Where's Brakenkit?Where's Mothtail?" I looked around. I couldn't see them in the den. Lilyfeather looked at me and sat next to me, curling her bushy grey tail around me. "The creature that attacked our camp, was a badger."
I felt a shiver go up my spine. "The badger killed them, I'm so sorry." Lilyfeather mewed. I went cold. I felt a light, something inside me, flicker out. Lilyfeather looked sympathetically at me. But I wrapped my tail around my aching head; I didn't want antcats sympathy, I wanted my mother and littermates, who were gone...
