I woke up to a strange scent, on something soft, softer than moss. It was blue, but felt nothing like ice or water. I was in some kind of small nest, bit with no way out. Metal twigs crossed over infront, behind on top, below and by the sides of me.
"You're awake!" An over-friendly voice said from her left. Her head whipped around and she saw a red and white kittypet smiling at her.
She scowled. She had no idea were she was, she was far away from her clan and was stuck next to an annoying kittypet. "Hi, my name's Pabu! What's yours?" He smiled through the metel sticks.
"Badgerpaw." I growled
"That's an unusual name." he commented.
I rolled my eyes and curled up to sleep. "So where do you live?"
I groaned inwardly, then thought, he might know how to get back to the forest! "The forest." I answered.
I felt him stiffen "The- the f-forest?"
"Yes. That's what I said." I looked up
"You grow to the size of badgers and eat bones?" his eyes were wide.
"Yes I'm bigger than a badger and have bone stuck in my teeth." I said sarcastically. He looked rather hurt, but didn't say anything. "So you know how to get back to the forest fron here?" I asked. He nodded.
"Will you take me?" He hesitated, then nodded.
