I realised too late what it was. I tried to sick it up but I couldn't. I wasn't going to die, I could tell.

He dragged me back to camp, and I heard him tell everyone that 'I just fainted randomly'.

For the next three moons, this continued, more deathberry juice each time, until I could eat a whole berry without even fainting. Deadear wanted to make cats immune to deathberries, but it was slowly and painfully killing me.

"No!" I yowled to his hateful face.

"Wat do you mean 'no'? You've never questioned me before, and it won't happen now." he snarled.

" I can feel myself dying, Deadear, PLEASE!" I yelled despratly. I hate the way I begged, but there was no other way. He glowered "No. You're behaving like a kittypet." he hisses. I shook my head and backed away.

He leaped at me. I ran. He was three times my size and five times fitter and better trained. I didn't know were I went, but I was now on a thunderpath.

WHAM.
