I opened my eye to see myself in a mirror. I touched the lavender streak on the left side of my hair delicately, as if making sure it was really there. It was! And it was so pretty!

I followed the arm of the person holding the mirror. It was Charline, of course. "What do ya think?" She asked. I couldn't even answer.

I hopped out of my chair and threw my arms around Charline. "Of course! I love it! It's beautiful! I'll treasure it forever!"

Charline staggered a bit on impact, but caught herself and hugged me back. I pulled away and smiled at her.

"So, Sierrah, do you like it?"

I snapped my head over to the right to see James. I nodded.

Ed walked up behind him. "Is your voice box broken?" He asked.

I turned my head back to Charline. "Thank you, thank you!" I was happy enough to cry!

Charline, James, and even Ed smiled in unison. I stared up at them, hoping this moment- this feeling- would last forever, but alas, this blissful silence was broken by an alarm. It was ringing from Charline's pocket.

Charline dug her phone out of her pocket and looked at it. "It's my lunch break." She said.

"Can we have lunch with you?" I blurted.

Charline looked surprised. She looked at James, then Ed.

They kinda shrugged, as if to say "I'm okay with this."

"Uh, sure, kiddo." She answered, still shaken up from the sudden invite. Her tail swayed as she walked to the back room to get her things.

"That was sudden, Sie..." James told me as Charline opened the door to the back room.

Oh no. "Was it wrong?" I asked, worried. "No. No, Sie; You're just fine." He answered quickly.

Charline burst out of the back room door less than a moment later. James heard her and his ears perked up and his tail whipped once then swayed happily. I've never seen him like this. I mean he's always happy, but it's... Different this time.

We all walked out the door together.

Charline was the first to talk. "Y'all are new to Earth, huh?" She said. "Yep. First day, actually." James answered askwardly.

"Wow, a green, a red, and a blue. All together on their first day of Earth." Charline mused.

"Yep." Ed answered, sounding annoyed.

Charline looked down at me. "How high up are you, Missy? Princess? Duchess?" She asked.

I hesitated. "Princess." I mumbled.

Ed clenched his fists. "Why does it matter to you?" He asked.

Charline raised her hands. "No offence, I was just curious, that was all." She said.

Then she turned to face James and Ed and walked backwards. "Well then who are you two?" She asked.

Ed opened then closed him mouth, taking in a deep breath. "Let's tell you at the re..." James trailed off. "Wait where are we going?" James asked.

"Uncle Berry's." Charline answered, turning to walk forward again. "Yes, it's a restaurant. You ever been?"

We all said "Nope," in unison.

Charline stopped abruptly and swiveled around to face us. "Well then..." She opened a tall glass door and ushered us inside.

The air was filled to the brim with casual chatter and the air smelled nice. It was a new smell, but my gut told me it had to be food.

"Mmmm! Smells like burgers in Here," Charlene commented. We walked up to a counter with a blonde lady with blue eyes, freckles, and a bright smile standing behind it. "Hey, Lina!" She exclaimed, "It's always good to see you here!" She talked quickly with a Texan accent.

"Gloria!" Charline chirped, hugging her over the counter "Right back at ya sis!" Charline calling the lady 'sis' didn't make any sense, because Charline was an alien and Gloria was a human.

Charline turned to us, "This is Gloria, guys! She's my sissy from another Missy." Charline's eyes were brighter and her voice was happier. "Heheh, Lina, don't the sayin' go 'sister from another mister'?" Gloria asked, her voice bouncing up and down with her low-pitched giggles. Gloria's voice was significantly lower than Charline's, but still feminine and just as happy.

They let each other go and turned to us in unison. "I know what Lina wants, but y'all need to order too." Gloria looked at Charline. "They are with you. Right, Char?" She asked.

"They are," Charline confirmed. She turned to us, "But before you do.." Charline interrupted us just as we were about to order. "Introduce yourselves, ya silly geese!" She chirped, whipping, then swaying her tail, kinda like James had done.

James went first, then Ed, and finally me, each greeting Gloria then telling her our names. Then we ordered. For James, a salad and a lemonade. For Ed, a grand slam. And for me, dino-shaped chicken nuggets and yogurt with fruit.

Gloria scribbled down our orders, then shoved her note pad in her apron pocket and walked us to a booth. The table was a light brown wood and the seats were dark brown leather.

We sat down. Gloria pulled her note pad back out and held it up. "I'll go give this to Dave and Bob," she explained, "Business is boomin' today, so they'll be a lil' while. Y'all make yourselves at home now."

We settled in and started talking. "Wow! It's so cozy here! And it's like everyone here is family!" I exclaimed. "That's why I like it here, it's like my home away from home." Charline smiled warmly to herself while she said it. Wow, she must really love it here.
