Jace's P.O.V.

A few moments later I was brought back to reality. I'd just kissed Isabelle! I'd probably scared her now.
But she hadn't moved, she just sat there looking at me, blushing profusely.
I didn't have to read her mind to know what she was thinking.
"I'm sorry about that Isabelle, I got caught up in the moment" I said, trying to make up an excuse.
"Oh right" she replied, with a faint look of disappointment, which disappeared almost instantly, making me think I'd imagined it.
"Are you hungry? We should probably get breakfast" I decided that maybe going back to the others would help get my head sorted out.
"Sure"

Isabelle's P.O.V.

Seeing what Jace had gone through made me want to cry. Everything him and the guys had been through was enough to make anyone bitter but somehow they had managed to stay kind. But Jace thought that he was a monster, and I knew I would have to do something to change that.

Once he'd finished explaining I spoke, "You've been through so much, but there's one thing that needs changing, you're not a monster! You deserve whoever you want and I want you to know just how amazing you really are." Before I realised what I was doing I reached over and pressed a kiss to his cheek. Miraculously I managed to continue speaking despite the blush that had spread across my cheeks.
"You're amazing Jace, I know this. So do the guys and so do all of your fans."
For a moment he didn't speak, and the next thing I knew, he leaned over to me and pressed a kiss to my lips.
At first I was too surprised to react. My idol was kissing me! But eventually I decided not to let this moment escape me and melted into the kiss.
Eventually we pulled away for air and I heard him say "Thank you".

Despite the fact that I was blushing even more than before, I managed to look over at him. He seemed oddly calm,
"I'm sorry about that Isabelle, I got caught up in the moment" he said, avoiding my eyes.
"Oh right" I replied, trying to hide my disappointment.
"Are you hungry? We should probably get breakfast" he offered, clearly trying to defuse the tension.
"Sure"
I couldn't help but feel confused by the kiss but I tried to push those thoughts away as we headed towards the kitchen.
Once we got there Rick, Ryan and Jessica were already there.
Jess practically skipped over to me as Ryan spoke
"Finally, someone emerges"
"Sorry Ryan, Isabelle and I were talking through a few things"
I saw Jace glance over at me as he said my name, before quickly returning his attention to Ryan.
"Mhhm, well we have a problem. Since our eating habits don't involve much food, we don't actually have anything in."
It was Ricks turn to join in.
"So we thought we'd all take the girls to get some food for them."
Whilst the guys decided the details between them, Jessica turned to me
"Hey Izzy, how did you sleep?" She giggled while waggling her eyebrows at me.
It was hard not to laugh at her sometimes,
"Quite well actually, Jace was a gentleman and we just talked for a while this morning after we'd both woke up."
"Ooh did you learn anything cool?" She quizzed.
"A few bits, what about you and Rick?"
"Well, actually he told me about how he and Jace became vampires," her voice held a hint of sadness as she told me,
"Oh yeah, Jace showed me that"
"Showed you?"
"Yeah, mind powers or something" I giggled.
Just then Callum walked out of his room.
"And look who finally decided to join us!" Ryan Joked.
I couldn't help but notice a small bruise on Jessica's hand as she swept a stray hair away from her face. No one else seemed to notice it though so I didn't want to bring it up in front of them all.
"Ok guys," Jace spoke up, "Now that we're all here we need to go food shopping for the girls. We'll start off with getting breakfast at a cafe and then get everything else we'll need.
The bus stopped, in the car park of a large shopping center, the kind that had everything you could need, including food and clothes.
The eight of us headed towards the cafe in the middle. It was like a small paris cafe with ornate tables and chairs.
"What do you want girls?" Callum asked.
"Latte for me please" Jess added, "oh and a flapjack," typical Jess, she just turned and gave me a smile as if cheering me on.
"Could I get a hot chocolate please and a brownie" I smiled back as I ordered.
"What? No coffee? How can you function without caffeine?" The barrista piped up.
"She's allergic to caffeine," Jess quickly said, jumping to my defence. "last time she had a sip of coffee she nearly collapsed."
"Oh right, sorry miss,"
"It's fine, I'm used to it," I smiled
"And what about you young men?" The lady then asked the guys. I listened intently as I was curious as to what they'd say.
"Just four waters for us please" Jace replied before he payed for everything.
Once we'd collected our orders, we headed over to a long table, at one end. Jess and I were on one side, with Rick next to her and Jace opposite me. The others were sat next to Jace.
Once everyone began talking I turned to Jace, "Water?"
"Yes, oh yeah I forgot to mention, it's one of the few things we can actually drink, it doesn't help much for nutrition or hunger but we look a little more normal."
"What else can you have?" I asked, clearly intrigued.
"Well with practice, we can have various foods, but they can make us weaker so it's best not to."
Once everyone had finished, we decided to split up, Ryan and Callum would handle the food and drink whilst the rest of us would pick up the other things we needed. We'd already discussed what to get before we left the cafe so we each had lists that we knew would cover everything.
"Once we've gotten all this sorted out we'll need to cover clothes and things for you girls, because as good as it would be to see you wearing our clothes, I'm not sure we'd be able to control ourselves for long if you did" Rick joked elbowing Jace as he laughed.
"I agree, that wouldn't be something I'd want to test for very long." Jace added.
"Aww but think of all the bragging we could do and how jealous we'd make all the other fans!" Jess joined in.
From what I'd seen so far, Jessica and Rick had a lot in common, their love of joking was definitely one.
"Speaking of which," Rick began as he pulled out his phone.
We all posed for the picure with Ricks arm around Jessica's shoulders. Jace just kept his usual smouldering expression but I noticed that he wrapped his arm subtly around my waist.
"Perfect! Now to release it to the people!" Rick chuckled.
"Wait but I thought you guys couldn't show up in pictures?" Jess asked, slightly hushed so that no one could hear her.
"That's a myth,"
"Garlic?"
"myth"
"Stake?"
"Who wouldn't that kill?" Jace piped up,
"Isn't that a quote from Hotel Transylvania?" Jess just giggled, which just made us all laugh.
Looking over at Jace, I saw a small smile apear again but as soon as he saw me, he quickly hid it.
Once we'd got the essentials, we left them in a shopping locker and went to get some clothes.
"Are you really alright with paying for everything?" I asked
"Honestly, yes. What's the point of money if you don't use it?" Jace asked
"Think of it as an apology for everything" Rick added.
"It's really nice of you guys but aren't there better places for your money to go?" Jess joined in
"We give to charity each month practically and as I said, we owe you girls, especially since you might not be able to go home for a while."
It took a moment for Ricks words to sink in.
"If it's ok with you guys, can we phone our parents later, at least to let them know that we're safe."
"Sure, it's the least we can do"
It didn't take us long to pick out a few outfits and Jess insisted that we get a few makeup items just in case. Soon we picked up the rest of our shopping and headed back to the bus.
