[ you're no good for me no more, we don't know how to live without a war. We're a disease without a cure, you wanna hurt just a little, hurt just a little more]

"STOP IT HURTS!" BEGGED the beta, who was chained to a tree after being injected with wolfsbane.

"For the last time, Liam Dunbar," the woman showed off her knowledge about the teenager, using his full name, "all you have to do is tell me what Scott does to never, ever, lose a battle."

"And I told you, I. Dont. Know," he spat, chest heaving intensely. "Bullshit!" She yelled back. Liam was startled.

"Do you take me for a fool, Dunbar?" She rhetorically questioned, "I know everyone in his pack is beloved to Scott McCall. You must know what his secret is"

"Well that's just it," Liam rolled his eyes, the woman narrowed hers, expectantly, "maybe his secret is just staying close to his pack members. But obviously you wouldn't understand. Clearly you aren't capable of any emotion other than spite."

The woman stood idle, staring intently at the boy, "He's of no use to us. I want to be rid of him." She strode off, not glancing back once. The two men who stood behind her began approaching Liam, menacing looks adorned their faces.
"Oh shit..." he muttered under his breath. A scaley pattern crept onto their faces; Liam was perplexed. He felt pressure of the chains release from his body, however he was thrown to the floor soon after, a foot pressed against his chest, limiting his breathing. Narrowly, he dodged an incoming swing of claws, which caught the men off guard, leaving him a few seconds to roll out from underneath and escape...

Not werewolves? What else could they be? Certainly not banshees, kanimas or werejaguars. It struck him like a jolt of lightning.

Chimeras.

"So they're all chimeras?"
"I'm not sure..."
Scott placed his head in his hands while the rest of the pack watched, observant.
"I'm sorry, I let them get away. It won't happen again, Scott."
"No Liam, it's not your fault."
It was though. He knew he could've done so much better.

"What are we going to do now Scott, we can't just let them have it their way," Malia asked.
"We can't retaliate straight away either, we know close to nothing about the pack. They could have some hidden weapon for all we know," Lydia made a valid point. They'd only just found out two members of the pack were chimeras. The woman who seemed to be in charge showed no sign of her power or supernatural abilities. Attacking now would've been futile.

"We could try speaking with Deaton in person, see what information he could provide us with," Scott suggested. The pack agreed and the four members made their way to the animal clinic.

"It was at around 3 o'clock," Deaton began, the pack and him all gathered around the table, "I had just finished up with a patient when a tall woman in her late twenties, most probably, entered, demanding for a cure for excessive black liquid discharge. When I told her there was no such thing, she didn't take no for an answer and took it upon herself and her pack members to search."

"That sounds a lot like the woman you described, Liam," Scott nodded in my direction, which everyone's else's eyes followed to.
"Yeah, and she had brown hair."
"That's correct," Deaton confirmed.

"Well I guess now we know they're in Beacon Hills looking for a cure," Malia stated.
"Did any of them reveal their supernatural abilities?" Scott queried.
"As far as I'm concerned, they all appeared to be Chimeras," Deaton answered.

If the pack was going to take on this chimera one, they'd firstly need to get to know their enemy better. Where did they come from? Who did they need the cure for? Who was their leader?

An idea sparked in Liam's mind but he instantly shut it down, knowing that he'd firstly be ridiculed for even thinking it, and secondly it'd bring back past memories he'd rather just forget. Unfortunately for him, Scott was on the same wavelength, and spoke whatever words he was too terrified to convey.

"Well if it's Chimeras we're dealing with..." he sighed, almost instantly regretting his proposition, "there's a knowledgable one we can get in contact with."

The pack was now intrigued, all attention on the alpha who was hesitant to utter the name. Without the intention, it involuntarily left Liam's lips,

"Theo..."

I srsly don't know why I'm dragging this on for so long. Also these chapters are remarkably short for my style of writing, the next one will be long af and we'll finally meet Theo I promise 😂.

Also if some of my sentences don't grammatically make sense just tell me because I tend to use big words just for the sake of using them, not to have a better affect/effect (I acc dk I get confused between them) on the reader lmao. Also I know this chapter is shitty and I could do so much better but it's a filler chapter so like eh.

_

I've been so dead, I'm so sorry lmao. I'm going  to try and write another chapter today.
