Chapter 31: Our Story

Ruby's P.O.V:

Ruby: Yes everyone, this was our story. My parents, and my aunt and uncle, have changed the internet, changed lives. They have raised me to change lives too. That is why I am here today. I had some struggles growing up, Yes I did, jus like many other kids. But I had special people like how my mother, y/n, had my father Ethan Dolan and my uncle Grayson, and aunt Ellie Dolan to help me through it all. I had thoughts that I wasn't good enough and asked myself many times before, why am I here? I learned over time that I have reason to be here and I have a purpose, and so do all of you. It took time, effort, and patience to get me back on my feet, and to raise me from that deep hole that I was stuck in, because I worked for it. I had a vision of what I wanted so dearly, and I did whatever I could to get myself back onto the path that I had hoped to be on many years before. As you all can see as I receive this Teen Choice Award today for helping to save so many lives by donating and volunteering to help kids who were in the same boat I was in, that it only takes the decision to try, to make it it happen. So just go home with this message... Try hard, work hard, and achieve. That's it's. It's that simple. Go home and change lives. We need more people in this world who are willing to make a difference. Be that person! Thank you guys!

*I walked off stage and there was nothing but silence. Then, as I looked into the audience, my 10 year old daughter, Alina stood up and began to clap for me. Then one by one, the whole place was giving me a standing ovation. I began to tear up. I was walking back to my seat and an older man stopped me and said...

Man: Miss Ruby Dolan, I am so delightfully proud of how far you have come. Take a look around.

*Then I looked.

Man: See everyone clapping and standing. It is all for you. They are doing this for you. You have change every person in this rooms life, including the viewers at home. Oh, and if I may introduce myself, I was your mothers doctor who brought her back when she was in that terrible accident for the second time. I had never told anyone that she had passed, so here it is for you. I saved her life as well as her father and your aunt and uncle. Dr. Isabelo.

Ruby: Oh doctor! Thank you!

Doctor Isabelo: No Ruby, thank you.

*This was it. This was my life. I had a beautiful daughter named Bailey, because her heart had stopped beating at birth just as my uncle Grayson's because I had her at 16 years old. My parents had won yet another TCA right before I had. Look at where our family has come. I hope that you decide to change not only your life, but others as well someday. And as famous words hold...
