" Skye! Wait, just think about this for a second-Ow! You're hurting me." I whimper as my friend continued to yank on my hair, pulling me towards Michael. He finally let go when we had gotten to Jeremy and Michael, who were looking at us in confusion. My cheeks were red as I quickly tried to straighten up my hair. Skye looked over Jeremy, his eyes landing on Michael. " Michael, right?" He asked, Michael looked at him, clearly confused as to what was going on. " Yeah...?"

" I am so sorry.." I quickly said to Michael and Jeremy, tugging on Skye's arm. " He just... really, is, well, him, and we need to go now, so.." I tugged on Skye's arm more.

" Mind if we sit?" Skye asked, but didn't wait for their response. He quickly pushed me down into the chair beside Michael, and took a seat in the one beside me. " Sure..." Michael and Jeremy said together, shooting each other unsure looks. Suddenly Skye stood up, looking at his phone. " Oh, shit, sorry, I gotta go... meet someone for something. See ya." He said, winking at me as he quickly turned and left me alone with them. Right beside Michael.

I felt my heart rate jump drastically as I glared after Skye. " I am s-" I started to say, slightly starting to stand up and start my retreat. " He always like that?" Michael asked, looking at me skeptically. I slowly sat back down, realizing it would be rude- and suspicious, of me to dart away right now. " Y-yeah, he's a bit... Pushy. It's hard to change his mind once he has locked onto something. " I say softly, my fingers fidgeting.
" Seems like you two are dating. " Jeremy mumbled, causing Michael to glare at him and my eyes to go wide. " Me and Skye? " I say, unable to stop a small laugh from slipping from my lips. "No, he's just a good friend. He doesn't play on my field, you know?" I try to explain, looking at the boys. Michael smiles at me, causing my face to heat up again. " Really? We thought he was bi." Michael said, looking over at Jeremy for a moment. I nod my head slightly. " Nope, not bi. " I say, pulling my eyes away from Michael.

" So why did he drag you over here?" Michael asked

I quickly look over at him, my eyes going wide. " I-um-well-It's just.." I stop, my eyes suddenly flickering to their backpacks. Which had " boyf" and "riends " written on them. " What happen to your backpacks?" I asked, causing the boys to look at each other, and then glare at me. " Ask you brothers friend." Jeremy mumbled, causing me to quickly look down. Of course. These two were often the targets of my brother and his friend's cruel bullying.

" Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't.." I mumble, starting to get up. Michael quickly grabbed my wrist, causing me to look up at him. He grinned at me, " Hey, its okay. You're not the one who did it." I couldn't help but smile back at him, briefly wondering why he didn't hate me. I couldn't help but stare into his hypnotic brown eyes for a moment, and he stared back, his hand still on my rest. " (Y/N)!" I jumped, hearing my name being called, and snapping me out of the daze I had fallen into. Michael quickly lets go of my wrist, watching me closely. I turned my head to see my friends waving me back at the table- except for Skye, who was no where to be found.

" I gotta go... But, I'll see you later?" I ask, looking back at Michael. He grins at me again, making my heart race. " Yeah, see ya!" He said, and I smiled as I quickly walked away and headed back to the table. Okay, so maybe I hadn't actually admitted anything to him... But I still talked to him! Which was a huge improvement.

At the end of the school day, it was time for play rehearsal. As I was heading there, I saw Michael and Jeremy talking. I paused, watching Jeremy go in before Michael turned around. His eyes quickly landed on me, which caused me to freeze up. Oh why did he have to have such a powerful effect on me? " (Y/N)! " He called out, making his way to me. " You signed up for the after school play?" I nodded my head, looking up at him. " Yeah, though I was about to tell him that it turns out I won't be able to do it this year..."

" Really? You were pretty good, last year."
" Thank you! Its just, it conflicts with my schedule.."

" Ah, that sucks. I gotta go, but I'll see you later?" He said, smiling at me as I nod my head. " Yeah, I'll see you later!" I say, watching him leave. I sigh before quickly going in and explaining that it turns out I couldn't do the play this year. Christine was sad, but didn't say anything. I then turned and left, and realized I didn't have a ride home as I was walking out of the school. I frown, knowing my bother would never come to help, and my parents were both at work... Who knows where the rest of my friends are, which left me with one option.... Walking. I sigh, frowning as I tugged my backpack closer, and started walking.

Not too far down the road, a vehicle pulled up beside me and stopped. I quickly tense up, but relax as I see Michael at the wheel. " If you needed a ride, you could have asked!" He called out to me, motioning for me to get in. I bite my lip, but obediently get into the vehicle. " I didn't want to bother you- and I forgot I didn't have a ride.." I admit, looking down as I sit my backpack at my feet.
" Your brother ditch you again?"

" H-how did you know that?"
" He usually ditches you, everyone knows that. Why? Isn't he supposed to be your brother?"
" Oh... He just sees me as an embarrassment. I'm too nerdy for his group, and he'd rather have fun than take me home anyways.." I murmur, looking at my backpack.

I look up as I feel Michael lightly nudge my arm, and see him grinning at me again. " I'm gonna make a slushy stop, want one?"

" Sure! If that's alright with you." I say, smiling back at him.
" I wouldn't offer if it wasn't alright." He said, still smiling at me as he pulled up into a 7-Eleven. We both got out of the vehicle, and he held the door for me as we headed in and got a slushy each. Well, he bought mine for me, which I thanked him for. We both sipped on our slushies as we made our way back to his vehicle. " Hey," he said, causing me to pause and turn to look at him. " Let me know next time you need a ride." He said, causing me to frown at him. " I don't want to bother you."

" You're not bothering me! I don't want you walking home by yourself. " He said, both of us getting into his vehicle.
