***Elska's POV***

There's a battle going on inside my head - or wherever this place is. It comes in the form of some sort of inky darkness. It gets into my (spiritual) head, and I end up having to repel it. But when it's about to win (it almost won many  times), it just fades away. Leaving me on my knees. I pretty much regained control of my limbs. I know my physical body is still under that coma Vader pressed on me, but my spiritual one won't give in.

There's really no sense of time. There's no sun, no moon, just silvery mist and grey sky. I can see hills of some sort in the distance, but no matter how fast I go, I can't get to them. Rather, its as if they get farther away. And since I have no sense of time, I have no way to tell how long I've been here. I guess a couple days at the most.

The loss of time sense has affected me because these strikes from the dark cloud - I've come to call it Fear, because that's what I feel when it attacks me - are now completely random. I have no time to prepare, it just strikes. When it does, I feel like my whole body is being electrocuted, burned, and dunked at the same time. It takes all my concentration to stay upright. When it finally passes, there's nothing to do but continue walking toward the distant mountains. The mountains that elude me.

Sometimes I think I hear a howl. A wolf of some kind. I've even seen a white wolfish creature with yellow eyes dart in my path from time to time, with two grey ones following. I don't know who - or what  - they are, but they're not hostile. They just...appear. But when they do appear, I feel at peace. Calm. And I know that I will make it out of this, somehow. But I can't do it alone. Someone has to help. And so I send out a message. Its simple, but it gets to the point:

"Help me, Luke Skywalker. You're my only hope."

***Luke's POV***

I walk through the desert to Jabba's palace. Lando is in his place. So is Leia. I hope she's doing OK.

It's pleasantly cool now that it's night. A nice relief from the burning hot sun I'm so used to. The desert stretches in all directions. No end in sight. Occasional rocks jut out, piercing the landscape like a spear.

I've been walking all day, and I'm tired. I'll take a small rest. I sit on a nearby bolder and shut my eyes, tuning into the Force. No one was near. I sigh as I fall deeper into the Force.

All of a sudden, a familiar presence brushes me. So faint, I could have imagined it. But how? She was who knows where. My eyes snap open as I sit bolt upright. It was her. Elska. She was alive.

I feel her again. And this time, I hear words. It's faint, and I only catch "Help me, Luke...only hope". My eyes widen. She sounds so weak! But she was alive. She was alive. I felt like a huge burden had been lifted off my shoulders. Now I could focus on the mission. I could fully focus knowing she was alive. Somewhere, but alive.

"Don't worry," I whisper at the stars, "I'm coming."

***Darth Vader's POV***

I pace in front of the hologram of my Master. Both of us are reeling with shock and surprise.

"She managed to get a message through the field. Impressive. But worrying." My Master says. I can see even worry in his piercing yellow eyes. I simply nod and resume pacing. This was worrying. We had our technicians turn up the level of Force - Disruptive signals to maximum. And yet, she had reached out to Skywalker. Her message was as clear as day to us. "Help me, Luke Skywalker. You're my only hope.". That's what she said. And what's more, she's supposed to be comatose! How could she have sent a message like that while she was comatose?!

My Master looks at me. Then he says, "The Skywalker boy will have become more worried by now. This is good because he'll get here sooner. However, this development worries me. Should she ever wake up, she would be a threat. No matter how tightly she's bound. Physically or spiritually. You must make sure that if she does wake up, she's put to sleep again immediately."   I nod. Then the holoprojector winks out. I stand up. I have someone to wait for.
