Days pass and that girl stays on my mind, I even told my brother about the chick when I went to my father's house to visit them..

"I don't like how you looking when you describe her, you sound like a creep, and plus you look like dad when he talks about mom. You see how that ended up!"

I inhale the blunt before passing it to him...

"Her name was Timidity and she was everything I want in a gurl, I feel like ima cry if I don't see her ever again.."

Earle laughes and throws a couch pillow at my head...

"Dude, you never even slept with her and you already bragging about her."

"Nigga, she is the shit and when I do find her, i ain't never going to let her go."

"Same shit I said before your mother left me."

I turn my head and my father comes down and sits by me and I give him the blunt...

"Dad, I met a girl a few days ago and I'm in love."

He stares at me and smiles..

"You make sure you make her sign everything, so she can't never leave you."

I nod my head and look at Earle who is smirking shaking his head..

Earle was a free spirit like my mother and did his own thing but every woman I dealt with will tell you, ima force to be reckoned with.

We talk about the old days and how my dad got my mom and what not, that's when I notice my dad gets quiet..

"Look you boys must understand something, when you get the girl, you have to break her or she won't respect you at all."

Earle shakes his head..

"Im out pops, when you and De get to talking about women, y'all creep me out, I don't agree with nothing y'all saying and I won't be part of the sickness!"

"Boy sit yo ass down and listen to what the fuck is going on!"

Earle rolls his eyes.

"Dad, I love you but I don't like or agree on your philosophy of women. Honestly that's why your alone now, so I don't think you should be giving De advice dad! Yall dont know women at all, y'all gonna find yourselfs lonely as hell if you do!"

I laugh and proceed to roll another blunt up..

"Pops, I agree with you and I want you to know when I do catch Timidity, she's gonna be mine forever."

I daze off while my dad and Earle argue..

"Look women like a nigga to lay the law down and that's how it should always be, our family been doing it for years."

"If your so amazing why did mom leave you?"

My head snaps towards Earle..

"Nigga, you wilding out,talking to pops all crazy now!"

My dad sits quietly for a minute....

"I should have never let her out my sight, I pray everyday she comes back, that's where I fucked up at."

We sit in silence before I speak up..

"Father, I promise to take over the family law and ima make sure my woman listen to me."

Earle shakes his head..

"That's why mom left dad because of that thinking, yo woman will leave you and ima be there saying I told yo ass so."

I laugh while inhaling the blunt..

"I can have the whole block ass naked right now with just a glance of my eyes and looks that daddy blessed me with."

My dad laughes as Earle smirks..

"We all got his eyes dumbass!"

I roll my eyes.

"I got his name though."

My father raises up..

"Well I'm going upstairs to take a nap but remember what I said."

"Dad, i promise to break these hoes hearts!"

He chuckles while walking away...

Earle just wouldn't shut about it though..

"You gonna get fucked up messing with people life's like that."

I get up and pass him the rest of the blunt.

"I'm out, nobody trying listen to you, I'm tryna live up to my father's standards."

"His standards were wrong, you the only one who dont see it, what if somone treat Temple like that?"

I walk away before his words can hit me, fuck what he talking about, ima get mines, our father had a point and nothing was changing my mind and Timidty was my main focus right now...
