A couple months down the road Luke's teasing what getting worse and getting past the point of funny, and that was only because it wasn't teasing, it was accusing. It was true that Michael hardly ever helped out around the house but he didn't think Luke would care, but it seemed he did.

And of course, it led to fights.

None of them were violent it was just a bunch of shouting, very loudly and Michael was glad they had no neighbours as the cops would probably get called.

It had all started with Luke dumping a pile of Michael's clothes from the bathroom on the lounge floor simply stating 'Pick up your shit.' Then Luke started getting more annoyed and doing things like throwing dirty clothes at Michael when Ashton and Calum were around. The two knew how bad Michael was at cleaning stuff up but never commented.

Michael's dirtyness and Luke's nit-picking had actually lead to them fighting in front of Calum and Ashton once, Luke had told Michael to do the dishes and lux before he left to go to work and when he got back neither had been done. On a normal night, Luke would have just done both but that night he was too exhausted and was in such a bad mood.

"Why aren't the dishes done Michael?"

"Because I didn't do them."

"Why hasn't the floor been luxed?"

"Because I didn't lux it."

"And why didn't you do those two simple fucking things Michael?"

"Because Ashton and Calum came around."

''When?"

"A couple hours ago."

"I was gone for near to nine hours you lazy piece of shit!"

This was the most Ashton and Calum had heard out of Luke, and even though they felt really awkward in the situation, they agreed with Luke.

Michael had never mentioned needing to clean and they had only arrived two hours before.

Michael and Luke started shouting at each other, getting more and more in each others faces before Luke uttered the words, "If you want to drown in your own filth so be it, I'm not cleaning anything up for you now."

And he walked away, signalling the end of that friendship. Michael didn't have the heart to kick him out though, so Luke stayed, not speaking to any of the three apart from Ashton sometimes, yet only when he had to.

When Michael and Luke did talk though, it was always Luke making snide comments such as,

"Look who got out of bed this morning."

"Oh you haven't died yet?"

"Wow, what a surprise, your dishes aren't done."

And more. Michael was kind of getting sick of it but he just couldn't be bothered. It was too much for him to get out of bed and go to most mornings let alone clean.

It was always awkward getting ready in the mornings, the two ignoring each other and Luke only doing his dishes.

Yet one morning when Michael got home, the apartment was completely clean, "How is this so clean?"

"Because I cleaned it, duh." Michael looked over and saw Luke frowning while peeling off his gloves.

"Are we friends again?"

"Far from it. I declare war... A prank war."

So this is how the "war" started, hence the title and such.
