Chapter 8

By the time schedules were worked out we had made it to the PCA. I walked over to Demi while Ellie went with Abi and Selena with Lorde. We split up and walked around the  center. As soon as everyone else had gone Demi turned to me.

"what first?" I asked her

"I was thinking rock wall if that's okay with you."

"That's great"

"Okay then let's go get our harnesses."

We walked over to the rock wall harness bins. The good news was Demi was dressed in sports clothing too. She too had on her swim suit but she had on a black tank top and black sport shorts. Her hair was dip dyed pink again and it was pulled into a pony tail.

I helped her pull on her harness and tighten it, and she did the same for me. Then we walked to the wall. There

were three sections, easy, medium, hard.

The easy side was.. well easy. The spaces between hand and foot holds were small and they were sturdy.

The medium side had slightly longer distances and a few loose foot holds.

The hard Side had long distances and a lot of loose foot holds.

"Well let's go from easy to hard, concentrate on going fast and not falling obviously" Demi said

"Yea that would be good" I said

There were six lines with hooks on them side by side on each part. There were also six bells to ring at the top, There were a few counselors who were timing anyone who wanted it.

We called two over, their name tags said one was Evie and she had long, light brown hair that had big curls. The ends were dip-dyed purple. She had grey eyes and was pale compared to the more tan counselors. She had on light purple eye shadow and what appeared to be mascara.

The other was Blyn and she had long, straight hair that had been dyed blue with purple at the ends. She had green eyes and pale skin also. She wore eye liner and a few bracelets they made her look nice.

"Hey girls what can we do for you?" Evie asked a little nervously with excitement in her eyes. Demi and I shared a look and Demi said

"Well we need someone to time us on the wall"

"Okay we can do that" she said smiling brightly

Blyn gave her a look and said "Well I'm Blyn and she's Evie we are fans of you both" she said smiling

"I can tell we are gonna be great friends" I said and Demi nodded.

"I know" Demi said We'll just have you guys be our helpful counselors and we can do stuff together. You could meet our other cabin mates too."

Blyn smiled and Evie looked like she might pass out.

"Okay" Blyn said "We'll get you both hooked up and we can time you"

She got Demi and I both attached and she and Evie both got their timers out.

"Okay" Evie Said with her confidence growing "When you're ready start climbing and we'll start timing as soon as you put your foot up."

The wall was pretty high so I wasn't sure how long I would take. I got ready and so did Evie who was timing me. Demi gave me a look and started to count down

GO!!

I started to climb it was pretty easy with all of the foot holds but there were a couple places I needed to think. Demi had shot of like a rocket, so she was ahead of me I was almost to the top when Demi rung the bell signaling Blyn to stop timing.
