"We're not kids anymore. Stop being delusional."
SHOOTING STAR
She used to sit down under the deep blue skies
Lit up by the distant stars and the watching moon
She found joy in the cold night air's embrace,
Using the green grass as her bed
And greeting the trees like old friends. She used to wait for the falling star
So she could whisper her wish
And after, she would smile
And in her eyes there'd be a twinkle
Like the stars they watchedBut years went by
And she learned that it was all a lie
The falling star she awaited
Was just a meteoroid
Passing byAnd this, like everything
Everything that she ever believed
Was gone.
